My daughter is just plain miserable. I feel so bad for her. Do you guys have any tips for teething babies? I would really be grateful. She just screams and I mean SCREAMS. Sorry I am a first time mom desperate for help! I've tried the baby orajel but it only works for a little while. Thanks!

Have you tried infant Tylenol? My DD started teething early too around 3 months I think and still has no actual teeth yet. The Oragel seemed/seems to work at the moment but she needed/needs the Tylenol for any lasting relief. If you call the Pedi they can tell you the appropriate dosage as it goes by weight and is not listed on the bottle. Hope that help as I realized what SCREAMING really was when DD started teething.

Tylenol always has worked well. Also frozen washcloths. Take a washcloth and wet it and then put it in the freezer. Then after it gets frozen, I wet the tip of it and give it to them to suck on. That works well too. We also do teething tablets.

We did the frozen washcloths, too. You might want to try putting teething rings and pacifiers in the refrigerator as well.

My twins started to teeth early at 3 months and I tried Orajel and it didn't work very well or for long. So I swear by teething tablets. The kids have instant relief. I also use tylenol which is great. I hope this helps.

Tylenol and once a bit older (over 6 mos) Motrin works great for overnight...

my kids never liked the cold teethers but the really liked the hard plastic ones...

We tried the wash cloths and wow.... they are amazing. I think bc she is so young she wasn't ready for the teething ring. I also bought the teething tablets.....Thanks to everyone for your help!

Hyland's teething tablets and Tylenol for when it gets really bad. Once they turn 6 months, you can start alternating Ibuprofen and Tylenol. If it means alleviating THAT MUCh pain, I'm all for OTC meds. But the Hyland's teething tablets are sworn by most of us.

Orajel really helped my son when he was teething as well as the tylenol and the cold washcloths. Good luck!

tylenol or motrin, hiland's teething tablets, cold washclothes, and teething rings....cheerios. It will pass in a few days...then it will come back periodically.

When your baby is old enough for food, my son loved the mesh feeders with cold fruit (bananas or peaches were a good texture) in them....or zwieback toast. Forget the biter biscuits...they are a MESS.
