teething Question and how much tylenol to give?

My Dd is teething so bad she is getting her Molars in and I have being giving her Tylenol the full doppler which I believe is 1.85 and it takes for ever to kick in I am wondering if I am even giving her enough she is 14.5 mths old and weighs roughly 23lbs..

 

I have found that Motrin works best for my girls. It does take some time to kick in b/c it has to go through their system. I have found a lot of help with Hyland's Teething Tablets. They are instant relief b/c they dissolve in their mouth. You can get them at any pharmacy or Wal-Mart/Target.

 

For 23 lbs. my sheet from my ped says 1 1/2 droppers full.

 

Motrin worked better for us as well. I started using the children's motrin and asked the pharmacist how much to give according to their weight. (I think it was like 1/2 tsp at 23 lbs). It just seemed like we would go through the infant's motrin in a couple of days. The children's motrin/tylenol lasted longer. I also used nighttime orajel at bedtime.

I always use askdrsears.com for dosing -- he lists all the different types of medications and gives a chart for dosage by weight.
