I'd really like to protect our cribs from teething marks now that they've each cut their first two teeth. I've seen these adorable cloth covers for crib rails online that tie with ribbons so it fits snug against the rails.

Anyone make these or know where to find them cheap?

Here's what I'm talking about - rail cover

Those are super cute, I have never seen one before! It seems like they would be fairly easy to make, and a lot less $$! Know anyone who sews?

What a great idea! I also think any beginning sewer with decent measuring skills could make one. Give it a shot!

They are super cute! I used gummy rail things from BRU (very pricey to do two cribs) and needed to do the sides also. I wasn't worried about the teeth marks, but they were biting it and getting paint in their mouths.

Yes, I'm not a big fan of them chewing on their cribs for health reasons either. But I guess I hadn't started worrying about that yet since they haven't quite figured out the rails can replace a toy. :) I may just have to give this a shot and try to make them myself. I have a feeling that I could do it with the tape that you can iron on fabrics and velcro for securing them around the rails. If I have any luck, I'll post pictures! Thanks ladies.

i bet that iron on tape would probably work. they also sell pre-quilted fabric which would be good so it would be soft... to attach it to the crib you could get grommets that go through the fabric, they are really easy to put on and then you could use a ribbon through them which might be stronger than the velcro. good luck!

If you can't find the pre-quilted stuff, a couple of layers of fleece might work.

We went babyproofing shopping at BRU today. They have several different crib guards...not as cute as the one you posted, but different options. One was somewhat similar to the one you're asking about- cloth, hung over the top, and had spots to hang toys. It was around $20.
