Teeth

This is probably a dumb question, but how many teeth do the little people get?

One of my girls has all 20, or what I thought was all and has them all since she was about 20mo. She has not been sleeping well and I noticed tonight she was chewing on her fingers, when I looked in her mouth it looks like another molar is coming in on top! WTF! Do they have 3 sets of molars?!?!?

How many baby teeth and adult teeth are there and when do they come in?
A . Children have one set of 20 baby (primary) teeth used in early development. (See illustration below.) These are generally replaced by a second set of 32 larger permanent teeth. By the age of 6-10 months most infants cut their first tooth. By 10 months to 3 years, infants, toddlers and preschoolers continue to get their lower, then upper primary teeth starting in the center of the mouth and working backwards. By 3 years of age, most of a child's 20 primary teeth are in. By the age of 5-6 years children begin to shed their primary teeth and permanent teeth begin to erupt. By 12-13 years, most baby teeth have been
shed and almost all permanent teeth are in.

lol yeah that's an interesting question... lol. by googling that, i just realized that dd sadie is just now getting teeth at 19 months that she should have gotten at 8-13 months! lol

 

When my girls went to the dentist last month they had 20 and theirs is all in for now, so we have been told by the dentist.

 

My kids have had all 20 since they were 18 months old I hope there aren't extra ones that will come in on MY kids too! LOL. That would be great! NOT.
