Teeth Cleaning

    How do you clean your babies teeth?

    My pedi said to just wipe them down with a cloth 2x a day.
    I am ashamed to say sometimes I forget. :eek:

    My girls are working on teeth #7 & 8 and I've been brushing their teeth with a tooth brush and flouride free tooth paste. They just love having their teeth brushed and open right up for it. I think they like the taste of the tooth paste.

    I get handy with a washcloth and a dab of baby toothpaste. My kids all have small mouths so I have to use my pinkie instead of my pointer.

    They also make little toothbrushes that fit over your finger.

    We use the toothbrush that goes over your finger. It came with infant toothpaste, and they do okay with it. They don't seem to be big fans of having my finger in their mouths! :p My ped also recommended the cloth.

    Like I said, I've been lax about it myself.
    I am going to buy one of the ones yuo guys mentioned that go over your finger. I never even knew they existed.

    my girls only have 2 bottom teeth and one dd got another top one coming out. The ped told me at their 9 month appt. that I could start brushing them with a baby toothbrush (which I bought in the supermarket) and water. That's what I've been doing. Ashamed to say that I have the morning routine of brushing their teeth but haven't gotten it yet into the evening one which is probably more important but we'll get there soon! Don't feel bad about forgetting now and then. Truth be known...I actually completely forgot to do it this morning. Hope their teeth don't fall out :laughing:

    I use the brush that goes over your finger and it sure hurts when they try to chew on it! One of mine has six teeth and he chomps down on the brush / my finger! The love it, but I think I am switching to a handle brush to save my finger.
