My girls do not like to hold still for anything!! They despise getting dressed, getting their diaper changed and constantly try to stand in the tub!! My little wiggle worms are driving me crazy! Please tell me what you do to control this!

Based opn my experience, not much! They are so pleased with themselves for being able to do these things, and are too young to undertand danger or reason with. Just remember that you are bigger and faster! :D

Just wanted to let you know you aren't alone!! For diaper changes I have some success with giving them a 'new toy', usually a measuring spoon or something of the like to keep them still. As far as the bath, it drives me batty. Now that they both pull up I feel like a broken record, 'we do not stand in the tub' as I constantly sit them back down.

    I'm hoping it's a very short phase!!!

Ugh, right there with ya! Diaper and cloth changes are a nightmare! I usually give them their comb or brush to hold onto during diaper changes and they like to shake it. For baths we use a bath seat so we haven't had to deal with that....yet...

mine don't sit still for a second, either. but like PPs said, i give them a toy to play with during diaper/clothes changes. that doesn't always help, tho. if i'm changing them on the floor, sometimes i'll close them up in between my legs so they can't roll or get away.

I have echo what PP's said: I will give a toy for distraction. Sometimes even a water bottle or the tube of diaper rash cream also does the trick. Honestly I think my kids would be thrilled just having old remotes, water bottles, wipes, and diaper rash cream tubes to play with.

yup, and it doesn't get better for a little while!!!! It got to where I hated diaper changes <_< As far as the bath, we let them stand up, but we have a full bath mat and they haven't had an issue yet.

We had the same issue and finally got rid of the WWF diaper changes a couple of months ago. I tried the "new" toy thing and then they were on to me. At first I would use my hand and hold them down at the thigh to keep them from rolling. We only did diaper changes on the floor because they were too crazy to do up at any height. Then once they got too strong for my hand on their thigh, I used my legs to pin them. Ugh!

As for the tub, just be consistent about making them sit. They will get it or they will get out :)

Just Curious...Do you have the mat that goes on the bottom of the tub, or the padding that goes around the side?

Both!!!! Here is a pic when they were about 9 months old. The bath mat covers the entire bottom.

That looks like it came from One Step Ahead?? I bought their extra long bath suction bath mat but looked long and hard at this. We also had them inthis for a long time until they could no longer fit in it together.

Great Picture!! I was actually just looking at that exact tub liner today...I think I am going to have to get one...then I would have one less battle to fight!! Thanks!

Yup, it is from One Step Ahead. And we now use it to teach the ABC's, they are doing really well with and love singing ABC's in the bath :p

Ditto! My twins' favorites are #1 remote - it MUST be a working remote, not one without batteries, they know the difference!
#2 the empty Aveeno lotion bottle - many a fight has been broken up over this.

After the bath I dry the boys sitting up, moisturize sitting up and put on the top part of the sleeper sitting up. Then it's a mad rush to lay them down to get the diaper and the rest of the sleeper on. For our post bath diaper we use the Gerber 40% zinc cream in a tube. The kids love that tube for some reason and they get to play with it for that one diaper a day. It has fairly sharp corners and I'm just waiting for the day we have an accident.
"I don't know how he got that in his hands." I'll say to the doc on duty. ;)
