This has kind of shocked me some and then again I can understand the weight that I have lost. Duh! I had twins!!! LOL!
I went into the hospital weighing 226 pounds and I came home weighing 194 pounds  ! Talking about instant weight loss! So now my goal is to make it to at least 150. I had been trying to diet before I found out I was pregnant and my pre-pregnancy weight was 178, so I never really was able to lose much. Wish me luck Ladies! I won't be dieting right away since I am breast feeding, but I know that BF helps you lose weight. Maybe my goal weight will be attainable with the BFing, so that I won't have to diet at all.

    Lots of love!

    Good luck!

I'm in the same boat! I don't know exactly how much I ended up gaining because they didn't weigh me at the hospital when I delivered. If I had to guess I gained about 60-65 pounds but most of that was due to the enormous amount of fluid around baby A. But the day after I delivered I was wearing my regular clothes, it felt great to wear pants with a zipper! Pre-preg I was 185 at 5'10" and now my goal weight is 165 or just to be more toned and slender. I really wanna look hot in a swim suit next summer, well as hot as you can look with tiger stripes on your belly.

Anyways, just wanted to say I'm right there with ya!

Good Luck to you!! I was 216 the day I went in to deliver. A week later, I was down 30 lbs. I had pre-eclampsia so the majority of that was fluid weight. At my 2 week appt. I was down another 10. I am now at 152 (at 5'8") which is 10lbs up from my prepregnancy weight. I am having the hardest time losing this last 10! Of course, I am not working THAT hard at it...I had steak and Ice Cream tonight with my DH  My goal is to have the final 10 off and maybe a few more by the time that the babies have their first birthday!

I was a 205 lbs when I got pregnant (I like to blame that on the fertility drugs). The day before I gave birth at 32 weeks I was 265 lbs  . A week after I gave birth I had lost 44 lbs (Crazy, I know). Now they are a year old and I am down to 145 lbs! It is totally doable! GOOD LUCK!!

    Good luck!

My weight loss was easy while I bf and pumped. However, as soon as I stopped at 5 months postpartum the weight loss and maintenance was much for difficult. Eating was so much more fun and guiltless while pregnant and bfing.

Very reassuring info. I am so looking forward to wearing my jeans again that I had a dream just the other night about it. Pants that zip and button, can't wait! I also look forward to wearing my wedding rings again, I miss them terribly.

I'm in a similar place....pre-preg I was 170, which was about 20 or 25 pounds too heavy (never lost the baby weight from my last baby, LOL). At delivery, I was upwards of 230.

Now, at almost four weeks post-partum, I'm at 199 (good heavens, I never thought I'd be so happy not to see a "2" as the first number in my weight!) -- and my goal is also about 150.

I am also hoping the "pumping for two" diet works like a charm! I am so very tired of being a fat, frumpy mom....

Yeah for fast weightloss!!! With my singleton son I struggled a bit more... actually gained weight BACK before I got mad & went on a diet! Anyways before the twins... I am 5'4" & was 137lbs (I had gained 9lbs over that summer  ) The day I went into labor I weighed in at 172! When I got home from the hospital I was 147... so 25lbs was gone pretty fast, & by 2 weeks post partum I was back at 137!!! I was SOOOOO happy to get back to pre-prego so fast, never thought it would happen. BUT thanks to my excess skin even though I am the same weight I am still a size bigger. My goal is to get back to 125-129... thats where I was after weight loss for my son... & then all my old pants should fit.

Thank you everyone for posting your weight loss stories! It is so encouraging...especially since I think I've gained about 8 pounds in the last 2 weeks!

Went in at 174 and came out 132  . No wonder my body had a hard time adjusting post partum.
