So far they only drink water from them, because the only ones they drink from leak and I'm afraid of the mess... and mostly, DS is awful about it and always tried to grab DD's sippy...

How do you deal with it? Will I have to put them in their high chairs for every sippy?

I usually put out 4 sippies - 2 with water and 2 with milk. They always take each other's cup, switch cups, share cups, fight over cups, etc. I don't worry about it. If they are fighting I usually will say (for example) "Amelia, Lily would like to drink milk too, please give her one of the cups" and most of the time that works and they listen. If they don't listen I take the cup and give it to the baby who doesn't have a cup and then say "good sisters sharing!" or something like that.

We only did sippys in the high chair. I just didnt want them walking around all day drinking. But I can tell you that if they arent stealing each others sippys, it will be something else. :pardon:

So far they have water sippies available for 2 hours in the afternoon so they get used to drink from them... I really don't mind them stealing those or their toys, but leaky milk sippies, kind of, lol!

I guess I'll have to try in the chair... So annoying. I swear they're going to spend their days in there at this rate.

What kind of sippies are you using? I found some that don't leak - I think they are Gerber brand and they are pretty small and have handles and the pack says for 7 months +.

The Nuk ones with the soft spout always leak for me too.

My two have been stealing each others stuff since they were old enough to grab things. First binkies, then bottles, now sippies and toys. We always have 2 cups available, depending on the time of day with milk or water. Now when one ends up with both cups, we say, "R give A her sippy please." or vice versa, and they usually give the cup to the other child.

Mine steal each others all the time! I think they have to try the others to make sure that it's the same so, I let them do it and then they give it back to one another. But, when they are sick I try to keep them seperated but, it doesn't work all the time.

    Godd Luck :)

I keep two sippies of water out all day, but if they don't finish their milk while eating in their chairs, I'll let them keep them until they finish. They are always swapping and stealing each others cups. I just don't worry about it.
We use Gerber Sip and Smile and love them. I've haven't had any leaking problems yet. For the water cups, I use the Take and Toss, because those do leak a little and DS has figured out how to pry the lid off with his teeth.

We only did milk in the high chairs until we could use the hard spout ones that don't leak. They do steal each others cups constantly, but usually they switch so there is not much fighting.

I don't let my girls walk around with milk sippies. They can have water sippies all day long and I never remember whose is whose sippy (so I'm sure they pass them back and forth), but for milk, they have morning sippies either in their cribs when they wake up or in our bed while cuddling. They drink it and then we bring it into the kitchen. For lunch they have a milk sippy while at the table for lunch. And then they drink their bedtime milk sippy while laying in boppy pillows in the den. They trade me their empty sippies for their tooth brush. I can't imagine trying to hunt down a milk sippy. That would drive me nuts, so I've set up our system to have the least amount of grief for me (selfish momma!).

They only get milk for 15 minutes then I take it away... My problem I guess is that we have sippies that don't leak, but DS won't drink from those at all. I guess I'll try to give them those instead with water for a few days first.

We use the Take N Toss sippies & they don't seem to leak a whole lot. We also give them their milk ONLY in their highchairs. Sometimes there is a bit of play, but I keep enforcing the sippie after it ends up on the floor a few times & eventually they get the idea that mommy is not messing around!
