Table foods

What are some of your favorite meals for your twins that aren't baby foods. My soon to be ten month olds seem ready for "big people" food. I'm at a loss on what to fix them. I've done rice and gravy (loved it) and pancakes (breakfasts are easy). But I need other ideas. They can do finger foods on their own. Oh and they love fruits (cut into small prices).

 

Mine (who will be 11 months on the 18th) eat anything we eat. just cut up for them.

 

Anything and everything we were eating, they were eating at that age. I agree-breakfast is pretty easy. Lunch is maybe the most difficult. Dinner wasn't too bad. Here are some ideas:

Breakfast:
waffles
pancakes
scrambled eggs
fruit
cereal bars cut up small
dry cereal
oatmeal
french toast

Lunch/Dinner:
sliced/diced deli turkey/chicken/ham
cheese
any breakfast foods
pasta-ditalini is a good one for this age
meatballs
soups
cut up chicken/turkey
mashed up potatoes/sweet potatoes
avocado
peas
green beans with potatoes(my MIL makes this....soo good...and my boys LOVED them when they were 9 months old).

 

I had the same question also! Great thread! But, I'm also wondering if I gave to wait for them to have teeth before trying some of these? My DS has 5 teeth and is okay but my DD doesn't have any and I wonder if sone of these will be a problem for her. She gums most things (puffs, rice crackers, rolls, bread, French toast) but not sure on meats, etc. They are about 10 months old.

 

My Pedi said not to worry about the teeth. They will gum everything. We give them veggies and some fruit all chopped. I haven't started meat with then yet but with my other three they had meat by 9 mos. My girls had refried beans the other night and loved them!
