I received a gift for Valentine's Day and 30 weeks - swollen feet!! :winking0009: Actually, I noticed them right before I went to bed last night. I slept/had my feet up for about 6 hours and no change. They are still puffy. I am not swollen anywhere else (hands, face, etc.) so I think it's just from being 30 weeks pregnant with twins. Has anyone else run into this at 30 or so weeks? I am going to call the doctor, just in case. I know this can be a sign of high blood pressure..but I was just at the doctor's two days ago and nothing else is swollen.
    Thanks!!

I'm 24 weeks and have had swollen feet/ankles for several weeks now! Consider yourself lucky that it's held off for this long. My feet/ankles look like sausages!!! :nea: But my BP and all is good so the doc isn't concerned. Just try to put your feet up as much as possible.

I am 30 weeks also and I am going to mention to my doc next week about me being swollen and the numbness in my right leg and hand. I was pretty swollen with my ther pregnanices so I sure everything is fine :)

Yep, I have swollen feet/ankles! It has gotten better since I stopped working though. I also have numbness in my hands, mostly when I sleep. Dr. said that's normal.

Swollen feet, hands, legs, and numb hands when I sleep here too. Blood pressure is normal though, so no worries.

I posted about this too a few days ago. I am 34 weeks and haveswollen feet and numbness in my hands. I talked to the dr about it yesterday and its totally normal. He did suggest for the hand to sleep on the oppisite side of the one that falls asleep and that could help. As for the feet, just keep off of them as much as possible. I dont know about you guys, but I can press my thumb on the swollen area and it leaves in a indent for a couple of minutes from where my thumb was. ewww!

Well, you gals, per usual, made me feel much better! This is just part of the "fun" of being pregnant
I called the doctor and they said it was normal but to keep an eye on it. I put them up for awhile and it seemed to make a bit of difference. I am going to eat a low salt diet for a day or so and see if that helps a bit too.
    Take care!!

I had to comment on your girl's names..I love them!! I am going to name our little girl Ruby as it was my grandmother's name and I love that name. We also have a boy in there too..so we need to figure out a name for him. We are having a heck of a time with the boys name. Take care!!

I got the same gift on the day before Valentines too! I'm at 22 wks and 5 days today. It's more swollen in the left foot but the right is very puffy. It comes and goes. I just keep drinking water and keep my feet up. Right now they're great, but by the end of the day they will be puffy again. The doctor was only worried if there were the other symptoms of pre-eclampsia so as long as I don't get those I guess I'm okay.

Hope the swelling goes down for all of you!

Your DH's shoes will work wonders. Day before I delivered even his size 11's were too tight. I had to walk in with mine tight as can be no laces. Took 5 weeks afterwards for them to go down. Serious pain in the butt!!

I had it with my first, started at 30-32 weeks, both feet (only). She was over 9lbs. With the twins it didn't start until 35 weeks (I thought I was getting lucky), but then it got really bad, both feet and 1 leg. I had 2 leg u/s done to check for blood clots (I had pain as well). Blood pressure and urine was always fine. Turned out it was caused by 15 1/2 lbs of baby. As soon as they were out, it was gone within no time. Keep your legs up if you can, drink plenty of fluids, mention it to your doctor and don't hesitate to call.
