    Hi all!
My girls were on Similac Advance for the first month or so.
Then, because of reflux and gas issues, we switched to the Sensitive.
Now, we would like to switch back to the new Similac Advance. Has anyone read
anything about this new one? My pediatrician highly recommends it. And, since we weren't
seeing a major difference with the Sensitive, we thought it couldn't hurt.

    My question:
How do I go about doing this? We sort of just switched when we did it the first time from Advance
    to Sensitive.
If we are supposed to mix them and then gradually phase one out, will it matter if one is lactose-free?

I have no advice for you, but actually was wondering about this myself. Why does your ped recommend you switch back?

If they take the new formula well then I would say mix the old formula with the new until it's gone and then just used the new. But if they fight it and have a hard time with the taste difference I would say to do the switch slower. Like add 2 scoops of the old formula and one of the new for awhile than 2 new 1 old until they are more use to the taste. Do that make sense?? I think it won't be a problem because formula with lactose is sweeter.

He didn't necessarily recommend that we switch back. I asked him about the new formula and he said it was an excellent formula
with some kind of prebiotics and something else. He asked if we noticed the Sensitive doing anything different for us. And, if not, then
the Advance would worth trying. Some friends of ours said they couldn't do the Advance (original) because too much iron
backs their son up! But, I looked on the label and it looks like the exact same amount of iron. Maybe I am missing something.

Oh I didn't know the new stuff had probiotics. Do you know if the RTF is also new? I will have to look when I go buy some. Plus, the regular is cheaper. But it made them soooooooooo gassy. Hmm.

Well every time we switched our babies (twice each), we just switched without any kind of transition, and they did fine.

I use Target generics because it's so much cheaper.
