Switched at birth!

We fed the boys dinner last night (brats and grilled veggies from the garden), which went over like gangbusters, then gave them dessert. We made them chocolate pudding mixed with yogurt (freaky good, BTW); Nate was digging it, but Jack turned away, grabbed a zucchini slice and shoved it in his mouth instead.

This cannot be a child of mine! Who got my Baby B?!?! :lol:

Any other veggie lovers out there?

Haha! my girls are veggie lovers too. they love fruit, but have passed on pudding before! they usually go for the veggies first, no matter what else is on their tray! It could be worse I suppose :lol:

 

My DS loves his veggies, DD not as much (she'll eat them but not as much as he will) DS will sit there and talk to his peas (before he eats them) and eat a tomato straight out of the garden. If both of them had their preference, they'd take grapes over pudding for a snack. I figure I will enjoy this stage while it lasts :laughing:

 

Just the other day, my DS went to the fridge and told Daddy he wanted "grapes". DH said, "Come help YOUR son with grapes...MY son would ask for pudding, jello, ice cream, all variety of sweets...must be yours to want grapes.."

Your post reminded me of that! I loved it, because I want them to like fruits & veggies more than I do! Of course, grapes don't quite compare to a zucchini slice...

 

The other night for dinner, we made chicken nuggets, tator tots and green beans. Hailey only ate the green beans. The kid is weird.

Jake won't eat a veggie to save his life. It's very annoying.

 

All my kids love veggies/fruits!!! Evan doesn't like cake. This is a good thing!

 

Royce will eat grape tomatoes before and instead of everything. If he sees them he screeches and wont' stop until he's eaten as many as I'll let him.

 

That's hilarious!! But it's a 'good' thing!

 

Heh, I'm not really complaining; I love it that they eat their veggies! But what kid turns up his nose at pudding to eat zucchini?! I mean, I like zucchini too, but given a choice I'm gonna take chocolate every time! :laughing:

Hmm, maybe I ought to dig out that old zucchini chocolate cake recipe....

yum i need this recipe! when my boys turned 2 yrs old loving veggies went out the window ugh!
