    Hi Everyone

Currently outside we have a the basic step 2 climber and a little tikes one that is very similiar. They have little to no interest playing on those anymore (they had them last summer). They do go to the park and go down big slides so I dont know if this is boring to them or what.
I was going to get them a playset for the backyard this summer, but part of me thinks a big one like an adventure playset would be too dangerous unless I was constantly a few feet from them...Then I thought I'd wait til next year.
But my kids are pretty bored outside.

For their bday I plan to get them either a tricycle or big wheel of some sort. What have you had luck with? I see walmart has this one, Ready to Ride Trike. It is pretty small though and my son is tall...daughter is average...I think they'd maybe only get one summer out of it??

Then I thought, I could get more years out of it if I went with the Roadster:

What are your plans for a bike and outdoor swing set???

Mine love outside play but we don't have concrete for them to ride bikes on so I don't have any ideas about that. The only thing I can suggest is maybe a sandbox or water table and my are really starting to like the little things. Like balls, bubbles, frisbees, those little basketball hoops, those sorts of things. Just a thought.

AHH yes, thanks for reminding me about the basketball hoop...definitely a gift for their bday! They do have a sandbox which is a hit for all of 5 minutes, a couple bals, but that's it. Thanks for the other suggestions!

My twins didn't really get the hang of pedalling until about 2.5. I think the second option would be harder to learn due to the angle of the seat to pedals but they would probably use it longer.

The best thing I bought them is

It is a bit spendy but my kids love it and all the neighbor kids love it too. My kids are not particularly coordinated but figured out how to ride in 5-10 minutes at age 2.5. My friend's little boy is not quite 2 and also was able to ride quickly. The steering is through leaning like skiing -so the handle is just for balance and the angle of the front wheels makes it really safe. They are actually safer on the scooter than their tricycles.
