Swim Safety

I was looking for something the girls could wear in a pool or at the beach that would provide buyoncy. I saw a suit at Wal Mart with built in floaters in the swimsuit, but when I took it up to the register they said there is a recall on it! That scared me a bit and I thought I better research products a little better before purchasing.

I would love any recommendations!

I saw this on Amazon as well and would love feedback if you are familiar with the product.

I used to be a lifeguard and swim instructor. Our stance was firmly against arm floaties as they don't help to keep the childs body above water, only the arms. We used the bubbles that were a belt around the waist and foam pieces that attached at teh back. You could add more or less foam pieces as the childs abilities advanced.. HTH.

 

I was looking at that power swimmer system in your 2nd link. I haven't personally tried it but it's my most likely purchase at this point.

 

We have the speedo swim vest. Just to let you know it doesn't really just let them float on its own. We thought it would and poor ds started sinking. It helps them stay more afloat as long as they kick a little.

It is nice though. I know life vests help you float, but then they can tip over.

When the twins were younger, we just bought a baby floating seat at walmart for like $4.
