How far where you when you started swelling up? I'm 20w4d and just started the past couple of days just mostly in my left ankle, or at least you can tell it more in the left then the right.

I was about 28 weeks when I began swelling from my feet. By 32 weeks my hands started swelling. The hot weather at the time didn't help either. <_<

If you ankle is swelling - try and sit back and elevate your ankle over some pillows - it really helps.

    Good Luck! :D

Probably around 26 weeks or so. It was very mild until 30 weeks. I ended up with preeclampsia - that's why I had extreme swelling 2 weeks before I had my c-section.

It's a normal part of pregnancy. Drink lots of water (seems backwards.... but it helps) and try to keep your feet up. I'm sure you've heard that 10 times :) Be ready to switch to comfy shoes, too!

Honestly, I've never noticed swelling until I'm full term. But I know that it's common, esp. if you are on your feet and are out in the heat. Just let your docs know!

I am 24 weeks and have only had a few issues with it.. the worst being while on vacation doing lots of walking and sitting and not enough laying down.. other then that if I don't over due it during the day I don't swell to bad.. maybe a little puffy by evening but nothing noticable unless I really pay attention.

21 weeks tomorrow and I noticed it about 3 weeks ago, but I had been standing all day. I can tell that my knees are slowly disappearing though and my ring feels a bit tighter!

I didn't have any swelling until they were born. They were born at 32 weeks. Maybe if they would have stayed in longer, I would have swelled??

No right answer on this, just drink lots of water and lay off the salt as much as possible. Put your feet up any chance you get.

If only one leg is swollen, let your OB know. That's a warning sign for a blood clot in the leg. It sounds really rare, but pregnancy, especially multiple pregnancy, raises the risk of clots.

I started swelling really bad in May, when I was around 28 weeks. The only thing that helped me was going on bed rest so I could keep my feet elevated.
