On Friday evening I noticed that my left foot/ankle was swollen. I didn't think I had been on my feet any more than usual. By the morning it was normal. On Sat evening the same thing happened, but I had been busy that day and had my baby shower so I was up a lot, but again only my left foot/ankle. This morning was normal but now starting to swell. I have been laying down in a recliner for an hour and a half but still see swelling. Any ideas? My blood pressure as of Thursday was perfect 112/52 and I am drinking a lot of water, I wear expensive sandals with arch support and rest as much as possible. Just seems weird that it is only 1 foot.

I had that quite often - it was my right foot that tended to swell. My doc told me it was likely that the babes were putting more pressure on the right side - preventing fluid from flowing back up (in total laymans terms).

Try lowering your salt, increasing your water and continueing to rest as much as you can. If it doesn't go down, or gets bigger call your doc to check in.

I had this, as well and went in for a bp check. For me it turned out to be normal. When was the last time you had your bp checked and were you doing this swelling before? I worried b/c it is a sign of pre-e and I'd gotten a headache (I never get headaches!)

I was in on Thursday for a progesterone shot and FfN test and my Bp was low normal. I have had no swelling at all until Friday.

Hmm. Personally I'd probably call if it continues. It's probably nothing but it's so nice to hear from a medical professional that it's nothing. ;)

Yeah, I agree with putting in a call to the OB's office. The left foot and ankle swelling happened to me around week 20 and there were a few things they wanted to look into and keep tabs on. I know my OB likes to have a heads up with anything that comes up, even if I think it is nothing...or actually turns out to be nothing. Let us know how things go!
