    Sweet silence...

It's evening and the whole family is fast asleep. I hear the sweetest lullaby music playing softly over Gabriella's monitor. Sweet baby breaths from my Griffy's monitor make me realize how lucky I am. My husband has worked hard all day to provide a comfortable life for our family and we're all in good health. It's times like this that bring tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat. The best things in life really are free. Thank God for the beautiful blessings in my life. Although it's not always easy, to say that it's been worth it would be an understatement.

The ability to spend day and night with my children has taught me so much in the short time I've been home. It makes me realize how important it is for me to be here and how comfortable they are knowing I'm always right here. One day they'll have to be on their own, but thankfully not now. Until then, I'll rock them and hold them and baby them and snuggle them. For my sake or theirs you ask....doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm doing it anyway and loving every single moment.

Just thought I'd share a few sappy feelings...rather than pondering questions and how-to's..I know many of you feel the same. It's nice to be able to stop and smell the flowers, because sometimes during the day, they're all covered in bugs!!

    That was so sweet!

I find that time away from my kids (mostly the silence part) makes it all that much sweeter when I am with them.

I unfortunately do have health problems, so it's hard to be a mom for me. But I just wish I had gotten more help sooner so that I didn't deteriorate so badly. Now they go to daycare and I get to sleep in and have silence. It's helping me alot. And it definetly helps me be more patient and loving when I spend time with them.

What a beautiful statement and you are SO right!! After the yucky day I had, I can look back at it and think of all the cute things they did.

    Thank you!! :love0028:

Michelle, after seeing how your day went, I was encouraged to know that I'm not the only one out there that has frustration to the point of tears...but glad that my "sleepy moment" helped you!!! :hug99:

ahhh, thank you! I got teary too. It's especially bittersweet here, cause their daddy isn't home all the time. But when he's not, he's out working hard trying to make sure we're comfortable, safe and taken care of too.
Children really do change everything. It was one thing to fall in love with your DH, but to fall in love with your kids and your family....ah, it makes explaining why I'm here alot easier.
