We havent been doing this much since they were much smaller as they kept getting out of it. Wondering now if I got something like the miracle blanket if that would help them sleep longer or if once you have stopped and they have tasted freedom  you cant go back?

We swaddled my daughter in a receiving blanket with the arms out in the beginning. We thought since she always broke them out anyway, that she didn't want them in. Someone told me to try them in, to see if she sleeps better. So I swaddled her tighter with a kiddopotomus swaddleme blanket with the arms in and she slept much much better. When she started breaking free of that, I switched to the miracle blanket and that helped until about 6 mos. No, she didn't like it, but it worked!

We used the Kiddopotmus swaddle me blanket too, once ours starting getting out of that, we went to the sleep sacks. They still slept just as well in them as they did the swaddle, good luck!

I second the kiddopatamus swaddle-me's. They're just terrific. Ours definitely weren't ready to sleep well unswaddled at two months. But some babies hate swaddles from early on. I would experiment, definitely. At that age, after we started swaddling, they would sleep between feedings. It was like magic for us. Anyways.

We used to swaddle them when they got home from the NICU but it seemed like they spent more time trying to get out of it than enjoying it!

Now that they are older we've found the swaddling now helps them sleep and they don't spend so much time getting out!

I use receiving blankets but have threatened the boys with the Kiddopatmus if they escape ;o)

We swaddled with their arms in for prob the first couple of months, but their arms kept popping out. Since then, we've just left their arms out and wrap their lower bodies, with a little room for leg movement.
