When did you all quit swaddling? Wyatt is 3 months and sleeps so well swaddled but I know we have to quit at some point.

We quit swaddling them at around 14 weeks. I was nervous about it; but the reason we did it was that our AC broke, and it was just too hot for them to sleep with a blanket. They did absolutely fine and actually slept later in the morning. But mine had always been fighting to be free as soon as they woke up in the morning, and we had actually been leaving their arms free for naps during the day for a while.

We stopped swaddling at three months because our babies kept breaking out of the swaddle.

I swaddled for at least 5 months. My babies slept so much better that way. Every time I tried to not swaddle, they would cry and cry, so I just kept swaddling until they were way too big for the blankets.

We stopped right around 6 months. They'd been breaking free for a some time before that I was just scared they'd stop sleeping as well. They never really even noticed.

the startle reflex that wakes a lot of babies up when they are unswaddled starts to diminish 3-6 months so any time in there you could try a nap and see what happens. We're still swaddled tight and although they struggle for a few minutes at first they sleep much better once they fall asleep. We're using the snug and tug swaddles now that they've out grown all the other ones...

I keep wondering this as well… but my boys sleep great at night so why mess up a good thing (my boys were born April 20th as well)… my boys are already too big for regular blankets, so my mom made 4 more bigger ones… cute camo w/ wwII fighter planes on it… I asked her to make more but she keeps thinking we will be done w/ the swaddel any day now :pardon:

We swaddled until the were 5.5 months old (with the miracle blanket) -- they had been breaking out for about two weeks -- but were STTN (not crying out to get re-swaddled) - so we just stoped one night -- I think since they were "ready" it didn't make any differance when we took it away.

Around 2 1/2 or 3 months. We did it gradually with arms out for a week or two before stopping completely.

We stopped around 3-3.5months, because the babies were fighting when we wrapped them up, but I think if it is working for you there is no need to quit - I say keep going until they don't want to be swaddled anymore!

we swaddled until my girls were way too big for the swaddle blankets and they were getting holes in them! First we started to swaddle with 1 arm out, then with both arms out and then finally when we changed to sleep sacs my girls didn't even notice

My guys are four months old and we are still swaddling. We have never swaddled during the day. They seem to expect it at night. We swaddle them lay them down they struggle for a bit and then cuddle up next to each other and fall asleep. I unswaddle them around 6 or 7 am when they end up in the bed with us for a few more zzz's.
