How long did you swaddle your LOs? Mine can break out of theirs, but it still seems to work as a good indicator of naptime or night time.

Once my girls started breaking out of the swaddle, we did away with it. It impossible to keep them in, and it would just frustrate them. I want to say it was when they were about 5-6 months old. It took a couple of days for them to get used to being "free", but after that it was a smooth transition.

We stopped swaddling around 6 months. They were breaking free on a regular basis anyway and their swaddles were starting to wear thin and get holes.

They were breaking out around 6 weeks, so I stopped then.

At 3 weeks they were fighting to get thier hands free and figured out how to get loose from the swaddles, so we just stopped then.

Mine are breaking out already too, but if they keep waking at night I'll reswaddle them and it'll settle them down, so I'm not ready to do away with it yet! :)

My daughter went to 7 months. I kept trying from about 3 mths, but she still had the startle reflex.

I was a swaddle addict. They didn't need them I was just so afraid they would stop sttn. Just stopped at 6 months.

We're still swaddling at 3 1/2mos and I confess with DD we swaddled her until she was year old....she loved it, we used a queen size flat sheet. Swaddle that girl and within minutes she was asleep...probably saved my sanity during teething!!

We do not swaddle during the day. Once a week we try at night. Thye have yet to go through the night. They hit themselves in the face and startle and cry. So, I swaddle them up and they are fast asleep.

I wish we would get rid of these things. It will be over 100 degrees this weekend and they are sweaty at night.
