My girls are now 5 months old and both are sleeping through the night! (one for a month now and one as of two nights ago) We have been swaddling them for their two naps during the day and for their long sleep at night. How long do you keep swaddling for? It seems to be their "time to sleep" cue. Once they are seeming a bit cranky, we wrap them up and hold/rock them for a little bit. Then we put them down while they are still a little awake and they go to sleep usually within 5 minutes or less. I am a little nervous about unswaddling them, in case it makes them not sleep as well. Is it time to start getting them used to this?

As long as it's working for you, I see no reason to change it. Eventually, they will start breaking free from the swaddle, then you will have to change but until then, go for it!

This is why mine are still swaddled heehee. Maybe if you really want to try to unswaddle them try the routine with sleep sacks at naptime and if that goes well try it at night. Just a thought. Good luck!

I swaddled my girls until they were breaking out if it consistently, and then it was just causing frustration for all of us. I agree with Tina, if its not broken don't fix it. :)
