I put Maddie in her bouncer seat to sit and watch the older kids play. She loves to do that. I come back in the room a few minutes later and she is sitting straight up in the seat. I guess it's time to move on to the exersaucer.

Good job Maddie! My boys aren't quite sitting up on their own yet, although I notice often when they are reclined in the bouncer, boppy, or high chair that they will lift their head and shoulders up from the seat like they want to sit up. I think we'll be there soon.

She is always staring down at the kids and the toys. I think she wants to get in the middle of it all so bad! I tried sitting her on the floor and she falls back over. She needs that chair for support.

YAY!! My girls are close to sitting up too. They do the same thing in the bouncer. I just rotate them between the bouncer and excersaucer (jumper). They only tolerate one or the other for so long.

good idea! I didn't think of doing that. I did it with the other kids but this time it didn't occur to me. The girls spent some time playing on the mat today and loved it.

I have been really dreading when they get mobile. Mostly because I don't want them to grow up! I love 6-9mos. They can sit but not really get around. You can put them on a mat and they play and you can walk away and come back and they're still there. lol I don't think my two will just sit for long though. But I will say I'm starting to look forward to them playing more. They're so adorable together. They both get excited to see the otehr twin and then the kids. This is going to be a fun phase. Of course this reminds me that I need to get that gate up to their room. I'm going to go plug in the drill now so I can do it in the morning.
