Surprise c-section today

I've been on hospital bedrest since last Tuesday. Today my ob made rounds on me and I threw up my usual complaints- the contractions hurt, my backaches, got cankles, can't sleep, etc. I then asked if he could give me a date to look forward to and he said not yet we'll just wait and see. Then about 20 minutes later he called me on the phone and said he had a date. i said really, when? He said today! Hugh?? He proceeded to tell me that my kidneys were worse and declining and he didn't want to take a chance so he needed to deliver them today. Today at 5:00. Preeclampsia. Wish me luck. Scared.I'm just now 33 weeks and 4 days with boy/girl twins.

I thought this day would never come and now that it's here I'm a scared wimp.

It's hard being on hospital bedrest. Mine were only 4 days farther along than yours when they were born and my nonIUGR baby came home after 17 days. Goodluck on short nicu time!

 

Congrats! Its amazing how quickly things will change with preeclampsia.

My 32 weekers only spent 19 and 22 days in the NICU
