Does anyone use a Pregnancy Support Belt? Does it actually work? Which one did you use?

I think it works if you really make sure you get the right size. Mine helped with support but I out grew it really quick. Then it just got to the point where it was too tight and uncomfortable to have on my skin. Plus it was kind of bulky and not real easy to hide under clothes. The single belly bands that you get at motherhood did not fit me at all!! So I got the one that goes around your belly and has a separate part that supports your back too. Like I said I just grew out of it too fast.

I outgrew mine, too. I found it uncomfortable while I was at work and sitting at my computer all day, but it seemed to help walking around doing stuff around the house.

I have a love/hate relationship with mine....it has the belt at the bottom and then a strap that goes over my belly....it really helps when standing or walking around, but sitting it just digs into my hips...i got it at our local costco, it's called motherfit, but i think it may be a mexican product....it was cheap though, about $20.00 u.s. so i don't mind.....

i always tell DH it feels so good to put it on, but it feels SO GOOD to take it off, too....good luck

Mine was a life saver. If I didn't wear it I was hurting by the end of the day. It took a lot of pulling and weight off my back. I got mine a BRU and would strongly suggest using one. The one I got was comfortable and easy to take on and off. It is called Loving Comfort Maternity Support. The only thing is it has a strap that goes over the belly, and I didn't use that part, but everything else was good.

i used the medela at first, but i grew too big for that - it kept riding down - i just got the loving care 3 piece one that actually fits and feels better...it def. helps keep pressure off the pubic bone...

I love mine! I can't be on my feet for more than 10 min. without mine on or I can't walk. I have the one from Motherhood Maternity here's a link:

Mine used to bother me when I sat down but eventually the elastic softens a bit and it doesn't bother me anymore.

I love mine also! I had heard that you can get your Dr to prescribe you one and then insurance will pay for it. It worked! My OB has a physical therapist that fitted me for one that works great. Its called Mom-Ez and wraps around your lower back and under your tummy. It was a lifesaver on a recent trip I took with the family to CA. I had to stand in line in LAX for over an hour and would have lost it were it not for this belt. I am 26 weeks along (havent been able to put in my ticker yet). Hope you can find one!!!

I bought one from motherhood. It was just the single strap. I grew out of mine rather quickly too!!! Well actually I think that it depends on what position my girls are in....One was head down and one was transverse when I bought the belt. They flipped quickly and are both head down. Now I can't wear it. Not really sure why, just almost feels like I'm crushing their heads or something. (I know that makes no sense really, but it does in my head.) I too found it great while I was standing but very uncomfortable while I was sitting. I have since given up on it.

I was in so much pain that I actually spent the money on a prenatal cradle that cost 75 dollars!! I was desparate and thought hey, the snoogle was worth the money, this must be too.

I went on bedrest the next week and that was that. So, I don't kow if it worked or not. I am planning on selling it on ebay!!
