    Hi everyone,

Well, one of my babies is creeping around now and getting where she wants to go. Time to baby proof! I have been looking in to Superyards and am thinking that it would be nice to have a safe place to put the babies when I go to the washroom, etc. Who has one? What brand? Do you use it / like it? Are they sturdy enough for 2 babies when they start pulling up to standing? Your comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

We have the SuperYard with one extension and I rarely use it! I bought a really big gate to go between the living room and kitchen and have that area completely baby proofed.

We have the Superyard XT with one extension. It is great for both babies now, but my DS is already really kicking at it and it really is moving. Also, there is no door on the gate so you have to step over the side to get in and out which is dangerous. Just tonight, my DH grabbed my DD to change her. When he went to step over the gate with her, his foot caught and both of them when crashing to the floor. DD is fine...quite a save by DH because she didn't even cry...DH really hurt his back in the fall. We are now rethinking the gate completely and think we will just babyproof more rooms and use normal gates to control access to other rooms.

I have the Superyard and I use it ALL THE TIME!!! Everyday! One extension is a must!!

It's TOTALLY toddler and babyproof!! For us a great investment!

Same here! I use it now as individual gates around the house. I actually still use a swing or a pack and play when I need to keep them reined in for a bit. They still like the pack and play with a bunch of toys. My DS pulls himself up in it and it still is sturdy.

I have the superyard XT but without the extension. Mine only use it a few times a day. Mostly while I am preparing their meals and then clean up afterwards. So they are in their 10-15 minutes tops but I couldnt live without it!!!! They are both walking now and it is sturdy, even when they are throwing a fit and shaking the sides :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE my SuperPlayYard- need to get an extension. It's set up in the living room so the babies can play and we don't have to worry about them getting into the electronics...sometimes I (or DH or Patrick) sit inside with them and play. I also have the boy's bedroom very babyproofed, they love to spend time in there playing too and have more freedom.

We have one, we had it set as a yard for our son, found he was crawling funny so we opened it up and now it is zip tied to our bookcase and the baby gate to keep him away from the books and tv cabinet and then we have a gate on the stairs. This helped make our whole living room baby proof.

I also don't use mine much. I have one large gate, like Becky's, to rope off my preschooler's stuff and TVs, and then individual gates at the top and the bottom of our stairs, one is a hands free and other is a retractable.

We have two superyards linked together which makes a HUGE space (8' X 8') which I put over those soft foam floor tiles. The babies LIVE in there. We all love it. It keeps my big girls small toys away from them. ONLY baby safe toys are allowed in there. DH and I are often in there with them, the big girls LOVE to go in as well. DH actually crawls in there for a nap on the weekends and the kids crawl around him. OK, I admit, I took a nap in there too once

I don't think you are supposed to link them together because the sides are a little floppy, but I don't see how it would be a problem. They can move them, but not take them down.

They work great for us. :D
