Soooo I had to give my superyard back last month to the person that let me borrow it.

I bought another one (still in the box) but am thinking that I am not sure what I am going to use it for now, and maybe I should return it??

We have always had gates to keep them 'contained' while in the house & mostly used the superyard sections to protect the TV/TV stand from little hands.

Do I need my superyard still? Do you still use yours? Maybe for outside or camping?

Just not sure how much they will like being in the 'baby jail' at this age especially since they are running everywhere these days?

I can't imagine that my girls would have put up with a Superyard after they were walking. By the time they were 15 months or so, I'm sure they could have climbed over a Superyard if they wanted. Personally, I'd take yours back if it's still in the box and put that money to better use!

we've never had one. our play area is half of the living room, which is surrounded by walls on 3 sides and couches on the 4th. now they they can climb over the couch, we've turned it aorund, but we know there's only so much longer we'll be able to keep them in there..... they LOVE being in the rest of the house and i feel like it's our responsibility to make the entire thing as childproof as possible so that they can have "free range." we'll see if that happens, however!;)

I still use mine in the living room and I use it outside to block off part of the yard.

our's is wrapped around in a way so it blocks the tv and kitchen, and i plan to keep it that way as long as i can! i'd also like to get another one for outside, cuz we don't have a fence, and i know when the baby pool comes out, they'll be in and out of the pool and trying to make a run for it!

I have 2 and use both. 1 to keep the kids away from the tv (they bang toys on it) and the other to block off the steps as our stairs are not gate friendly at all (one side is rail and the other is drywall with crown molding making it all uneven and hard to deal with). When they start climbing the gates or outgrowing it, I'm in trouble.....but it all depends on you, if you don't see yourself using it, return it and get something else for now, if you need it later, go back and get one...:)

We used ours to block off the tv and other things in the living room until they were almost 20 months old. We still have ours in our garage, but I should probably find it a new home. Our sitter still uses the one we gave her to block off her stairs.

we use ours daily but its not used as a an octagon shaped pen. We have it all sprawled out. Some days we use it to separate them from the kitchen/living room. Other days (like now) we use it to block off the kitchen trash can, dog food and water.

I find it much more functional if I use it as a super long gate to block this that and the other. My kids have never been placed inside the small space. Hope that makes sense!

My boys always hated being confined in the Superyard. I tried to use it a couple of months ago in the garage so I could clean out the garage without worrying about them killing themselves or each other. I brought out some cool, long-forgotten-about toys to occupy them, but they still wanted nothing to do with the confinement. They screamed like they were dying, for all of 5 minutes before I gave up.

I doubt this helps you any, but if you think they have outgrown it, that is probably true, in my opinion. :)

We don't use ours for confinement but we stretch it out and block off the steps. I have not used it for outside. I would say hang on to it for a couple of days and if you can't think of any use for it all, then return it.

We've never used ours as a playpen either as we're very fortunate to have a large play area for them. When I put it on my registry I knew exactly what I wanted it for. To protect DH's precious (and expensive) stereo equipment, big screen tv and speakers. If I had to tell them all the time not to touch buttons, it would drive me up a wall!

My kids have no choice but to go in their play yard sometimes. They have quickly learned there is no point in crying when being put in there because mommy isn't going to take them out. It is 6 X 8 ft square with all of their toys in there. That is basically the only place that has good toys in the house. It contains all the small pieces and it is a baby safe zone where I can be completely sure they are safe when I shower or do work around the house. I even have another one for when summer comes. I will put it around their baby pool in the summer so they don't run all over the yard in different directions. I'll also use it if I have to do yard work. I will also use it this summer while on vacation. I do NOT want my kids playing on the nasty carpet of hotels.. with the yard I can make a play area and the pen walls will hold down a table cloth to cover that nasty carpet. We also will use it at my sister's house on vacation so she doesn't have to baby proof the entire place.

i had a double set plus an extention set. i sold one set but kept the rest.

The superyard saved my Christmas tree from being attacked last chirstmas and i am going to use it for that again this year. perhaps think of using it for protecting items in your home or yard rather than keeping the twins in.

I use a small section to block our tv. The rest of it I just brought back out of the basement and am using it to block access to the couch since my girls have now figured out how to climb on it.

We havn't used ours inside in about 6 months but I think I'll probably try it outside this summer. And I'll probably keep it around to put it in front of the Christmas tree again.

I use 4 panels to block our stairs and balcony. I use 3 panels to block off the tv/stereo equipment. That leaves me with about 7 panels. Sometimes it's put together in the basement to contain them if we are working down there, but more often than not the other panels aren't used. I won't be selling these anytime soon though. I will use them next Christmas to block off the tree, and possibly even the year after that. I might let my mom borrow them until Christmas so she can have a safe place for the babies at her house if she needs to run to the bathroom or something if she babysits them over there..

We actually have 3 and still use them. 2 plastic ones, and 1 metal with extensions. They are lifesavers and I can't imagine going without them. The plastic ones are setup in the dining room to protect the furniture from all that banging with hard toys and to keep them out of the potted plants. They are also wrapped around to form a 10x10 play area with a fisher price door play set as an entrance. They LOVE going in and out of their "house" into playland and generally prefer to be in there to the rest of the house even though they are in no way contained by it and they have toys all over. The ball pit is in playland and the playards do a phenomonal job of keeping the 800+ balls in playland instead of all over the house. The metal one is around our diaper changing table so they don't get into the diapers, cremes, and miscellaneous extras and little things stored there.

We also use ours for travel - like the trip we just got back from. We went to my mom's house which is in NO WAY baby proofed. We took the metal superyard (hard to climb - no crosshatch for footing, and a gate for easy traversing!) and were able to gate off about half the house as a "safe" play area to let them roam. It kept them out of a kitchen wrought with dangerous stuff at their level, my mom's precious antiques, and knicknack niches, as well as the enterainment center. They wore us ragged as it was. I can't even imagine chasing after them 24/7 trying to keep them out of all that stuff and from breaking it all. The gating was really a lifesaver.

As others have mentioned we use them during the holidays as well. We have a 14ft articial tree with mostly crystal and glass ornaments. We used the playyards to keep them safely away from it.

I can't imagine my life without the superyards, but it really depends on you and how and what you use it for.
