    Hi Gals,
I have a quick question to ask about the superyard. Can it be set up in a rectangle shape instead of a hexagon? As well, can you use it to block off half of a room, like a very long gate? I have one ordered and I realized that my room wasn't conducive to it being used as a hexagon and I had just assumed I could set it up the way I wanted to, but I didn't look into it before ordering it. TIA, Lydia

Im trying to remember if I had mine in another shape with just one but i dont recall. if you buy the extra pieces or another whole yard you can pretty much do with it what you want. Setting it up as a gate usually wont work. it will stand there and look like a gate but pushing on it will cause it to fall over. We tried this with our boys outside b/c we were not allowed to have a fence. You can pikc up a superyard on Cl for $40.00 or less. I got one for $15.00.

    Good Luck!

We have it broken into many pieces right now and use that for baby gates. It doesn't attach to the wall, but the areas that we have them in are more like around the tv and stuff like that.

I had mine in a square shape. I didn't use it as a gate because it doesn't attach. I had this gate for our family room, and it was awesome!

I LOVE my superyards!!! I have a big part that runs along our living room banister upstairs and a small panel that goes infront of the desk and I also have a full one with 2 extra panels outside. I LOVE mine and would be in SOOO much trouble without them!

I loved my super yard (it was actually the one from onestepahead). We just recently gave ours away, but we used it every day from 6 months until 20 months. When my girls were small it was the 'baby jail' and then as they got older, more mobile, and less tolerant of small spaces, we opened it up very much like Stephanie's picture, to block off the dangerous things in the living room.

We used ours to protect our tv and stereo stuff. You can kind of see in this picture. The more you make angles, the sturdier it is. I have seen it as a rectangle at someone's house, but I'm not sure if it had the extensions or not.

We use ours to go around the TV stand and entertainment center. We have all of the usual stuff, vcr, stereo, speakers etc...blocked off. It's great because I don't have to worry about them getting into the cords or breaking anything.

We did ours (with one extension) as a rectangle. It was a tiny bit wobbly, but we had one long side up against a wall so it stayed up.

My SIL has hers stretched across the room as a gate, but she has some furniture up against it at both ends to make sure it doesn't fall over. It wouldn't stand up to kids pushing or climbing on it -- luckily for her, her kids just ignore it.

we used ours to block off the doggie door, dog food & water bowls, and our trashcan!
You can take it camping and block off the fire as well!
We never used ours as a hexagon- just to small IMO. We also use it to separate our living room and kitchen. It works like a charm. Get creative!
