I need to get some sort of gated area for my babies...do you like your play yard? (edited to ask...) If not, how do you keep them reined in??

We used it for a day. They scrap up the babies as the plastic is unfinished, so I returned it. I was not impressed with the quality for that price.

What do you use to keep them safe in an open space?

Love mine...it is still around the perimeter of my living room blocking the heating register under our front window and end table. I bought the super XT I think it is called and two extensions (4 more panels) At first, we used it as a big square when they were about 9m and they would crawl around and play. This was one our "stations" we would do throughout the day, at that age I had to keep them occupied all day. By 11.5 months they started to walk and we opened it up just to block things especially since one of our boys already split their head open so mine is still up. We need to get covers for our registers and when we get them the superyard will come down.

We have one and I mostly use it outside. For inside, I just bought THIS gate to keep them in the living room and out of the kitchen. I love this gate! You can also buy 2 and turn it into a playard.

We actually have 2 super yard XT's (one was a neighbor's) and LOVE them. It is the only time that I can leave them for 10 minutes and be worry free.

we LOVE the playzone from one step ahead. we got one playzone with two extensions. it is big enough for both to roam around, and it is smooth plastic. i recommend it.

We love the superyard XT as well. We got one of the extensions and it leaves a huge space for the girls to roll around in. They get cranky in it every now and then, but mostly because they have realized that it is a BCU (Baby Containment Unit).

I use the playyard outside and it's great. We're redoing the yard at the moment so the only place for them is a concrete pad but I put down those foam mats and toss in a bunch of toys and I'm able to get yard work done or play with my older DD and not have to worry about disasters! I have discovered though that they can move it. My uncle was telling me that my cousins (twins) used to pick up their pen and walk around the yard with it! I really hoping mine don't figure that trick out!
