    Hi ladies!!

Happy father's day :) We are going to a cottage in a few weeks and I have been researching sunsuits for infants. They are $$ but in my opinion the best option for my nearly 7 month olds (at that point). I am not into slathering sunscreen unless absolutely necessary. So what are your favorite suits?

We'd like ones that are versatile enough to wear while wading in the water and outdoors. My worry is that they will overheat in them if sitting outside. Of course we'll be avoiding the sun as much as possible and not be sitting in direct sunlight.

I'd love to hear what you all have done or are doing? What do you think of infant sunglasses and UV hats too? My goodness these two little buggers have more stuff that my husband and I :rotflmbo:

    TIA.

I have long sleeved rash guards to go with their swimsuits and hats. We got them at Target for less than $10 each. We avoid peak sun hours and only take them out after 3 or before 10am. I would be wary of infant sunglasses unless they say they block uva and b.

I am not much help on the suits but I have always found the sun hats with the SPF 50 in them. I love that invention! Got them at Target for around $7.00 and they have good coverage on the neck.

We had the Baby Banz swimwear for L&L & it was good. We bought them a bit big the first year & they wore them for 2 summers with no problems!

Tina, were they ok to wear when not in the water? I don't want the kids to overheat and want a suit the in sunprotective for being outside too!

    TIA

My kids LIVE in the sunsuits from PleaseMum. They are SPF 50 and I have never had to put sunscreen on their bodies - just their arms/legs/face/neck. The farmer tans that my boys get proves just how they are protected vs just a tshirt. We have used them from infant up - the duo have their own this year but the short sleeves so we do have to apply sunscreen to face/arms etc

None of mine have ever overheated and they dry very quick when out of the water. Like I said - my older two boys live in them all summer. They put them on in am and the will put on a tshirt around supper time if they need to change because of sand etc.

We most often had the opposite problem since it doesn't get really super hot here. They were cold after having been in the water because they stay damp for quite awhile (which I would imagine would keep your kids cooler than not having a suit on).

We have the iplay rashguard shirts, swim diaper and hats and they don't overheat in them. The rashguards are like swimsuit fabric so even though they're long-sleeved they don't get too hot. It gets really hot where we live and we haven't had any problems (the babies haven't actually even gotten in the pool yet even though they wear their suits, lol).
