I need to get some summer shoes for the boys. Both of them are now busting out of their little tennis shoes. I'm looking at Preschoolians because I LOVE the 1st pair of tennis shoes we got from them. (And they have a 40% twin discount). My question - for summer, are you only buying sandals/clogs or should I also get them another pair of tennis shoes? I had originally put them in my shopping cart but then reconsidered because I couldn't think of when they would wear them.

Also, if you know of any other cute shoes to consider, please pass along the websites.

We always have a pair of closed toes tennis shoes for each child. We are a park lovin' family and I just feel that they are more protected in those when playing.

In the past we have always purchased a pair of leather soled Stride Rite sandals for Ben for the summer. His feet sweat so badly that he needs the leather, otherwise his shoes are stinky after a couple wears. But for whatever reason, I can only find synthetic soles this year. So we did not buy any. :( Instead, we opted for Crocs and an inexpensive pair of Cars sandals.

I like Crocs because they are lightweight, water-friendly, non-stinky, and close-toed.

Shannon- we wear Crocs around the house or outside ALL the time. Love them!

The boys also have some tennis shoes(stride rite) that they wear to daycare b/c they require closed toe shoes and no clogs.

For Sunday's and weekends the boys have some closed toe brown leather sandals from Stride Rite. Too cute!

I think Stride rite does a twin discount too. Also we only buy them at the Outlet store and they sometimes run deals where you get 2nd pair 50%. Might be worth a trip to Gaffney ;)

Where do you girls buy your Crocs? I picked up a red pair of knockoffs at Walmart for Morgan and a navy pair of knockoffs from CVS. The red ones rubbed a place on Morgan's feet (the inside right above the arch). I always get blisters so it looks like he's following in my footsteps. I wonder if the real thing would be better?

Hey Stephanie! I may take a run out to Gaffney outlets this weekend. Thanks for the reminder!

I bought Crocs for my boys in March when we had a few nice days of weather. Since then, we have had warm days and cold days. I barely have had them wear anything but their Crocs. I love them so much. If it is cool out, they wear them with socks. If they get muddy, I wash the off. At the time, I also bought them a pair of brown stride rites. I wish I did not buy the SR because I know they will only wear their Crocs this summer.

One of my sons got a little blister after wearing his Crocs the first few days. The blister went away and he has been fine since. I think they just had to be worn in a tad.

I bought them each a pair of Crocs and then i bought some sandals and they each have some Nike tennis shoes. We use the Crocs the most. :) They are easy!

Shannon- I got the boys Crocs at Whole Foods. I also saw some at Dillards in the kids shoe section.

We got our Crocs at Macy's. We also have tennis shoes. We go to a lot of baseball games and they can run easier with tennis shoes. Then, we have some sandals, water shoes, etc. too.

We bought some knock off crocs at Payless. They were on sale for $4, and they were having their BOGO sale... so it was $6 for the two pairs! Pink for her, and camo green for him!
