Suggestions for pelvic pain?

I remember some of you saying before that getting around 10 hours of rest at night helps it to not be so bad the next day, but I'm past the point of that helping now. [IMG] I still wake up and it just hurts when I walk, get up and down from the couch, roll over... ok pretty much all the time!

I also sit in the bathtub with pretty warm water at least once a day and that feels good... but I'm so tired of this pain! Besides tylenol, any other suggestions for helping it go away? Or am I just stuck until delivery day?

I don't have any suggestions, but I thought I'd let you know you're not alone. My hips kill me at night and it seems like it takes 5 minutes to get off the couch or out of the bed.

I hate to say it but you might be stuck. I have a lot of pelvic pain and have since about 18 weeks - Once I took Tylenol but that really didn't help either.

Do you find that the pain is constant or only after you have been lying/sitting for a period of time?

I found a nice bath was a help.

Unfortunatly, 5 weeks after delivery I am still suffering pain after sitting or lying, I am going to ask for a referral to a physiotherapist.

It's mostly after sitting or lying for a period like you said. But it's also any time I walk, whether or not I've been up or down for very long. And by the end of the day, just sitting up on the couch vs. lying down is painful.

I wonder if they would send me for PT now or not until after I have the babies? Maybe I should go to a chiropractor or something. I used to go once a month to a chiropractor to be adjusted, but my new insurance doesn't cover it anymore.

My husband asked a coworker who had twins and she got to go to physical therapy during the pregnancy and said it helped because she was over-rotating her hips due to the weight and she had learn how not to do that. I am asking my doctor about it today. Of course, the last time I mentioned it I felt like she thought I was a drug seeker even though I have never even smoked a freaking cigarette in my life much less done narcotics. It has gotten SO bad as of 3 days ago. It's worst in the morning because I'm stiff, but it also starts hurting if I walk too much. Basically if I do anything too much it hurts.

Chiropractic care can be incredibly helpful. I wish I'd have known when I was pregnant [IMG] I was in pain all the time during my last trimester.

Here's a good website for you to check out:

    Good luck.

Yes, see if you can get physiotherapy now. I wish I did but I was too stubborn and don't like to admit that I'm not always "OK".

If you can get help now, you hopefully wont have pain after the birth like I do.

I was finding that 10 hours of rest was helping but now the pain is always there. I find it worse after sitting on the couch or at the table and then having to stand up. It is also pretty bad if I have been on my feet for too long. Climbing the stairs is pretty tough, too. I don't have any suggestions...but I do sympathize with you.
