Although my MD has not yet made any specific recommendations, I have read in a few twin books to consume approximately 100-120oz of water daily. This seems like a ton to me, but as I have been getting headaches, I have tried to stick to this in hopes of staying adequately hydrated. Today I did drink about 120+oz and my urine was still not running clear. Is this a sign that I need even MORE water--if such a thing is possible? Also, does that quantity sound about right?

That sounds about right to me. I also sometimes added the powdered drink mixes or some juice for variety. I also ate popsicles and kept ice chips around. Those are hydrating too. I don't think my urine has ever been clear, no matter how much I drink! As long as it isn't dark yellow, you're probably doing fine.

The water thing was such a pain in the butt to me. But it's really true. I tried to drink 2 gallons of water a day, and I still ended up in L&D pretty much once a month towards the end due to dehydration. It's tough getting it all down ... but worth it to try.

I don't remember exactly how much water I drank each day, but I just drank it and drank it until I could not physically drink it anymore. It is really hard, but it is so worth it on so many different levels while you are pregnant with twins. Good Luck!!

I'm not a big fan of water but have developed a major addiction to ice, and thus the water it's in. I eat ice all day long. I've never had this much liquid in my body in all my life. I can't complain since I know it's good for the babes. They were fine though, all along, before I was injesting an oceans worth of water everyday!

    Try not to worry!

I usually drink 96 oz by 3pm and then keep drinking but don't keep track in the afternoons and evening. My feet just started swelling and they said it was probably due to the heat and to up my fluid intake. I thought, you have got to be kidding... but I'm abiding and drinkint 12 oz every hour. It's easier to keep track that way. Seems to be working as well, my feet don't look as swollen as they did yesterday.

If you are addicted to chewing on ice it can actually be a sign of anemia, fwiw.

I have no idea how much I drank, but it was a ton. More than 2 gallons a day I think. I was constantly sipping it and refilling.
