So today I'm 7 weeks and passed a large blood clot this morning. I had an ultrasound Lil A and Lil B are doing ok HR 139 & 155 but B has a small subchorionic hemorage where part of the placenta/sac pulled away from the uterus. My doc put me on bed rest for the weekend, has anyone ever had this happen? I've read online it can be ok I've talked to cooworkers who had the same thing and went to full term.

Yep-that happened to me. I was about 13 weeks pregnant I believe. It was a small bleed, but still had me freaked out. I remember waking up feeling like I was getting my period. I saw the blood and freaked, eventhough I heard about the bleed from reading TS. I went to the ob/gyn asap and was there all morning while I had u/s's and what not. All was fine with the boys. She put me on bedrest for the rest of the week and took me out of work. This happened on a Tuesday. I went back to work that Thursday/Friday because there was no more bleeding. I did bleed a little bit more on that Sunday, but that was the end of that. I had another u/s to make sure all was well.

My boys were born via scheduled c/s at 38 weeks. Stay off your feet and rest!

This happened to me also at 7 weeks. I was actually feeling fine, got ready for bed and everything, and within 10 minutes of going to bed I knew something was off. I was put on bedrest for a week but the bleeding lasted until the end of the 14th week. I am now at 35 weeks and the little monkeys are doing great! Just remember to relax and take care of yourself, and they should be fine! They do actually say that the bleeding can last up until 20 weeks so just keep an eye on it - if it picks up go to the ER right away!!

    Good luck!

Yep. I bled from week 6 until week 14. light pink/red bleeds that I always had to wear at least a panty liner for. Freaked me out BAD the first few times it happened. What typically happens (from what I was told) is that the hematoma heals itself in most cases and as the babies grow, they squeeze out the rest of the pool of blood created until there is no more and the hematoma is not releasing any more blood. Supposed to be pretty common in twin pregnancies. Good luck to you!!

Also happened to me. I had gone to the Dr on a Tuesday for an ultrasound to check for a viable pregnancy (I was 6week 3 d) since I had a miscarriage the pregnancy before. They did not see babies just 2 sacs.. this is when we found out it was twins. They said I was probably earlier than we thought but repeated my growth hormone levels to make sure they were rising (and they were) So I was scheduled to go back in a week. On that Thursday I was having a meeting with our Realtor at my house and had to use the bathroom and when I did blood came out. I FREAKED! I called my husband and mom right away and asked my relator to leave (poor guy he felt so bad because I was hysterical) and we went to the Dr office without an appointment. They got me in to u/s and what happened next was a miracle... not only were there 2 sacs but within those 2 sacs only 3 days later were babies they could measure and heartbeats we could hear! They said it was a sub chorionic hemorrhage from the babies implanting and that I may bleed another day or so then it should stop and it did. My Dr said that although bleeding in pregnancy is never "normal" it is very common. He also said that once you get the heartbeats the chance of miscarriage goes way down. I know it can be very scary but hopefully they will both be just fine!! Sorry to rant on! Best of luck!

Thanks everyone for your stories! It helps to hear that others have been through this. I'm doing absolutely nothing all weekend and I have noticed the bleeding slow way down today! My doc said it was small and it is common both with singletons and twins. When I go to work I'm ging to work the front desk, I work at a dr office and they are willing to work with me. My DH has been great! I feel bad it's his birthday today and he's stuck at home waiting on me :(

Yup!!! Not to me but to my sister - and happened with 3 out of 4 pg's of hers. And all babies are fine!!!
She bled a LOT though, to the point where she thought she was m/c but each singleton pg was fine!! So try not to worry TOO much(which is easier said than done I know!) but just wanted to tell you a success story!
Her sub chorionic hemorrhages got worse each pg, and the last one the bleed spot was half the size of the baby and she was still A-OK and home birthed with a midwife!!!! :)
