Ok anyone who has read my posts knows about the damn MIL. Well Yesterday was Dh's Birthday and MIL offered to babysit and pay for us to go out to dinner. I had no excuses so I finally let her babysit and fed them, before we left than rushed to get back before it was time for them to wake up. Of course she woke them up and they both stayed awake the whole time and were super cranky when I got home. I purposely closed my bedroom door because she is soooo nosy and when I got home the blinds were open (at night) so she could see when we pulled up and my bedroom door was OPEN!!! Dh walked in with an ice cream cone and picked up baby K and joked "want some ice cream son" MIL stuck her finger in the ice cream and put it in baby K's mouth...Baby K was up all night with a tummy ache I was sooo mad and all DH has o say is "it's not bad for him you just hate my mom so bad you want him to be sick so you can say I told you so." ahhh can you believe him. So for those of you who don't know we live across the street from my in laws HELL but we opened escrow on a house 20 miles away I am so happy and hope I never see them again!

WOW!! I have ready your previous posts and I know how difficult things have been w/ ur MIL. I would have been livid!! Did you say anything to her when she did that?? I couldnt have held my tongue. I cant believe she gave a 2 mo old Ice cream! My ex's mom gave my son slurpee when he was 4 mo and I was pissed!! And your husband sounds like my ex. He would defend his mother to the end if I had an issue w/ something, but if she did something that HE didnt like, he would be pissed and cuss her out or whatever.. Im glad you found a house. I hope everything goes well for you. Keep us posted on that.

You poor thing      .

I learned 4 kids and 15 years ago that it's never going to be exactly the way I want it if I am not home. So I don't sweat it, and enjoy my night out and then pay for it for two more weeks  , ok, not two weeks but you understand.

I know all about the nosy MIL - THAT is what would make me angrier! If you ever let her watch them again lock your door.

Congratulations on your move!!!! I wish I lived 20 miles from my MIL!

    Yikes.
On one hand, I can see you being pissed. On the other hand, hopefully your children will defend you the way he defends his mother.
    LOL
Moving may help you. I couldn't imagine living across from either of our families! LOL

The nerve! Seriously! What was she thinking?! Why would you stick ice cream in a 2mo's mouth! Yikes!
Hope things get better when you move a little further away!

OMG, ice cream for a two month old? Wow, I know that the elders have ways of raising their kids back in the day and they all lived and that is fine. What gets me is we are the parents and while we may not be perfect we know what is best for our own kids. They can't seem to respect that sometimes. GL with the move, that will really help.

Wow! It sounds like moving will do you some good to create some space between you and the in laws. I'm sorry that your MIL is such a pain in the tush...
