The little ones are still doing 2 BIG naps/day which makes it so hard to go anywhere in a 2 and a half hour span with lunch in the middle. I think I'm just being emotional and cranky as it's a day everyone is having fun while I'm stuck inside with napping babies and loads of laundry on my 8th anniversary. DH is working late and I feel all alone today...I wanted to go to the post office and bank while the twins were asleep and can't find anyone to just come sit here in case they wake. My sister lives a street away and is busy "lounging at her huge inground pool" while my 3 in-laws sit at home and say they can't make it over with no good excuse. The one father-in-law can't help me out, but can make it for DINNER!!!!! UGGH. SO I guess I'm headed to make dinner for all of those who are too busy to be kind to me in return...

Sorry for the vent. I'm just sad and exhausted and on home confinement!!!!! =@

I'm sorry!! :hug99: It is rough to fit stuff in while they are still napping twice in a day. There were some days I would plan traveling to or from an activity during nap time and just let them sleep in the car. It's so hard to be housebound.

    Happy Anniversary!! :drinks:

I remember those days :hug99: Life certainly does get more fun with the babies when they are down to one nap, but then again there are days I wished they napped twice!!!

I am sorry your family wouldn't watch them for a little while while you ran errands, especially on your anniversary :hug99:

:hug99: That's a rotten deal. I would find a way to bring it up because it would make me mad enough. I would be nice about it, but SHEESH!!

Next time tell them you can't make dinner because you can't get to the store!

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Mine take two naps a day but I still make it a point to get out every other day. Otherwise I would just lose it - actually I have lost it when I stayed home too many days in a row - so I know how you feel. We have no family here so they have to come with me. Sometimes I wish family was closer, but then I'm afraid they would be too 'busy' like what you described and that would make me nuts!

Today was an 'out' day and this is what it looked like:

They got up, I dressed them, they got a big breakfast and then we are out the door for a quick trip to Walmart. Then home for the morning nap which was almost 2 hours today. Then lunch and it's back out the door. Today it was to Gymboree for an hour of open play. Then home for the 1 1/2 hour afternoon nap. I actually felt like I needed to get out a third time today (DH is out of town) so we went to the craft store and BRU which is next to it. I made a deposit at the ATM, hit the Chic-Fil-A drive-thru and then it was home for dinner. They played for a bit after that, then we start the bedtime routine and they are in their cribs at 7:30.

It sounds like a lot of work - and it is. It takes effort, especially when it's 90 degrees one minute and pouring rain the next. Plus, Baylinn threw up in her car seat on the way to Walmart, Breena pitched a fit at the craft store....but that's just how it goes sometimes and most days I can laugh at that kind of stuff. Soon enough they will be down to one nap - though I personally am dreading that day!
