STTN!

i can't believe it, it finally happened! the boys ate at 5:30, we did baths and bedtime at 7:00, and we didn't hear another peep out of them until 1:30. that's 8 hours between bottles, totally unprecedented! we did a quick feeding and put them back down, fully expecting to be back up again in 3 hours. nope, we woke up at 6:00 and raced upstairs to make sure the boys were okay. they were fine, of course. i was late to work because i don't set an alarm anymore (because the baby alarm usually gets me up, of course ). what do i do with all this extra sleep???

fingers crossed we have a repeat performance tonight.

Yea for sleep!!!!!! I remember I when mine started sleeping more, I would wake up in a panic and run in there to check on them!

they're such teases. no repeat performance last night. they did go longer between feedings, but now that i've had a taste of sweet sweet slumber, i can't wait for it to become a regular thing.

 

So, that is considered sleeping through the night?!? We get that, and I am greedy - I want more! I guess I should be happy that is what they do but they have been doing that for a couple of months now and I was really hoping that they would be going a little longer by now - guess I will be really happy in a few months when they really do make it all night! They did it twice (7:30 AM - 6:30 AM) before they got sick and that was a real tease!!!

 

at this age 5 uninterrupted hours is considered sleeping through the night (i've seen it noted as "midnight through 5 a.m.). hey, i'll take it. it's a hell of a lot better than every 3 hours nonstop around the clock.

we've had two more nights where they've slept for 7-8 hours straight, up for a quick bottle, then back down until we get them up around 6. i don't want to jinx it but it feels like it might stick. yay!
