Earlier tonight I got up from taking a rest and felt weird. As I was looking in the mirror, I noticed that I could see the blood pumping through my neck. It looked like I had just ran a mile. Well I still rested and did not do much. When my DH got home he questioned me about seeing my neck like that. He said for me to call my OB to be sure. She called me back and said that there was no diagnosis she could make. She asked me how much fluid I have had today. I told her at least 150 oz of water, milk, and juice. I knew myself that I was not dehydrated. She said just to take it easy. Well now 5 hours later, my blood is still pumping heavy through my body. I can feel it everywhere. I am just nervous that there might be something wrong with me. Has anyone else experienced this? I do see the OB tommorow also.

That has happened to me before as well, I think it's b/c we have so much extra blood volume circulating around. Being stressed or anxious about it can only make it worse by raising your pulse further. Just keep an eye on it, if you start seeing spots, feeling woozy, or notice a whole bunch of immeadiate swelling call the doc or go to l & d, as those are signs of high bp/pre-e.

I feel like that a lot. When it gets especially bad, I start to pass out.

I have learned that it's my cue to drink some water, lay down and SLOW down.

A lot of times I can feel my heart racing and blood pumping in my ears and when I do, I just stop take a deep breath and relax or lay down. That seems to help. Good luck at the OB today!

The first time I felt my heart beating really fast, was light-headed and weak..I went to the ER to make sure things were okay w/ my BP. Turns out, I was fine....just not used to the higher heart rate that comes along with double the babies! It was very scary, but I've learned that's it's rather normal. If you have any concerns, don't hesitate to go to the ER....they can do tests RIGHT THEN AND THERE! Good luck.

thanks for the replies. the DR. said today at my appt. that I was normal. It just freaks me out when I can feel all my blood pumping through my body. My BP was 122/62 which is high for me but she said they dont worry until the top # is over 140.
