Strollers

I have a side by side and a tandem...I don't like either very much, but they were handmedowns, so I can't complain. But, I'm really considering getting a new one, maybe used. I use my side by side all the time. The only problem is there aren't any trays or cup holders. I see my other mom of twins using them to put the kids snacks on, etc. I'm wondering if that is really a need for me or am I just thinking I it is. I don't want to get a new one if they won't be in them or use them much longer. They will be a year old next month.

I never have used one with a tray or a cup holder.......my kids have all survived. I still am able to feed them and give them their drinks......they eat and drink with no problem.

My almost 2 year olds are still going strong in their stroller, and probably will be in the stroller for a long time........the stroller we have is a side by side and each seat holds up to 45 pounds (my 5 year old is near 45 pounds, so I think the stroller will work for about 3.5 more years.

 

Maybe you can sell your other two in order to get the new stroller you want. We used our strollers until the girls were just over 3 years old. The stroller is wonderful for twin control and keeping the kids safe. We used our snack trays all the time and that's one of many reasons why I liked my tandem better than my sbs. Alternatively, you can get a couple of snack traps and teach the kids to use those.

 

I only have one stroller, it's a side by side, jogger with no tray, we've never missed the tray. My girls ate and drank in the stroller a lot.
My stroller is good up to 50 lbs on either side and at almost three--we're a long way from that. We don't use the stroller much now, but I'm not getting rid of it for at least another year.
So we will be using it until at least 4 years old. You've got three years ahead of you, I agree, maybe you could sell the other two and get one you three will really like.

 

2 1/2 here and we still are going strong with the stroller as well.

We stopped using ours when they were around 3.

 

We also stopped using ours at around 3 and by 2 we were really just using it in the mall. I Walmart or any other store like that we would use the carts or just let them walk. I also had a sbs stroller with no cup holders or trays, we got along fine. I would give them a cup or something to eat out of or just give them food one at a time.

 

We used ours until about three too. At the end it became more of a convenience to push my stuff around in and just to have to tell them that they'd go back into the stroller if they didn't stay right by me. The idea of them going into the stroller usually worked to keep them in line.
