So the twins will only be 18 months when the new baby comes. I'm at a lost as to what to do for strollers. Honestly I don't think I will be brave enough to go anywhere right away with all 3 by myself so I know if I go somewhere that the twins can go in an umbrella plus my Duoglider...but when the time comes that I have to put on my big girl panties what am I going to do?!?! I don't really want to buy a triple stroller bc I wouldn't use it that much.

We have the Valco Double stroller with the added seat. There are a few companies that make these now, but they are very expensive. We lived in a city at the time my 3rd was born and used a stroller more than a car, so it was so important that we had a viable option.

For the first few months you will be able to make due with a sling or carrier, like a baby bjorn. I always timed our outings so when we arrived somewhere the baby would be fed in the car, changed and then into the baby carrier. That way we had about 3 hours to explore or play while the baby was content. Then back to the car for the next feeding and home. I keep lots of music, books, and little magna doodles in the car for the kids while the baby is eating. I would also give them a snack.

You may want to look into the Joovy caboose double sit and stand. My twins still sit in strollers sometimes for big places, like zoos.

I might consider the Joovy Big Caboose in your situation. I would have likely sprung for a triple, myself, since I go out by myself all the time.

Our DS was 16 months old when the girls were born and the Valco double with toddler seat was INCREDIBLE for us. It's pretty big, but so easy to maneuver, fits through doorways easily, and can go anywhere a wheelchair can (width-wise). We used it for the first year or so everywhere we went - shopping, walks, etc... After that we switched to a regular double (Maclaren twin techno) for shopping since DS was old enough to hold on to the stroller.

Another option would be to get a double stroller (which you probably already have) and use slings, mei tais or wraps. Carriers are awesome - they were our lifeline with the girls! And there are lots out there that are SO much more comfortable than the Bjorn or bag slings (which are available everywhere, but very dangerous). Babyhawk is a great place to start for mei tais, sakura bloom has gorgeous slings, and a moby wrap would get you past the infant stage. Best of all, the mei tai option would let you carry your twins if your baby wanted to ride in the stroller.

Don't be afraid to go out - it's really not nearly as bad as you would think!

There is also the ABC Adventure Buggy from New Zealand. You can do a variety of set ups making it a triple or even a quad.
