Hi, All, my first post here, I hang out on Expecting (a lot!). I'm nearly 22 weeks and starting to look into equipment - and am COMPLETELY overwhelmed w/stroller/car seat options.

Is there a thread on this board where people review/comment on their choices? I'm already learning the new vocabulary (Snap-n-Go; Pack-n-Play), but could use some really specific feedback from twin moms who actually navigate with these items.

Oh, and did i mention that I'm also freaking out about sleep arrangements, cribs, co-sleepers, glider choices, etc.? Did anyone else go through this or am I just completely insane?

    Many Thanks!

I don't have the Snap N Go, so I can't comment on that one.

I do have a PNP. I like the basinette part. It's in the livingroom and they nap in there.

As far as sleeping arrangements, I already have a child, so we did what we did with her. They are sleeping in our room in a cosleeper. It's easier for me since I am bf'ing and they're right there.

I never used a glider, I did have a recliner that rocks. I LOVE my recliner.

It can be overwhelming for sure, but you'll figure things out!

Doh! Sorry didn't see your first question!

I have a Graco Duoglider. I like it ok, it's just HUGE. One thing I do like about it is that I can usually put one baby in the sling and my daughter can ride in it when she gets tired. Any graco seat will fit in the Duoglider. The Duoglider already came with a carseat, so I just bought another Graco snugride.

i dont know what i would have done without the snapngo. it takes me no time at all to get them from the car into a store.
It is extremely light. The basket underneath can hold SO much. I am bumming because they will probably be in different carseats in another month or two so i did have to get another stroller for then. Overall, it was the best 'twin' gift i found to be most beneficial to me!

I have the Peg Perego Duette and it has been a great tool for us! First of all, don't pay full price, goto ebay and the name of the store to search for is thestores4u and you can email the owner at [email protected]. OK, the reasons we picked it is because it is tandem, so much thinner and easier to get in and out of doors and aisles when shopping. The seats are removable and can be positioned facing each other, away from each other, to face you or to face away from you, the kids love to face me! The store is awesome, their is a big basket underneath. It has shocks so you can take it walking. It comes with boots for cold weather, this is like a blanket type thing made of the material of the stroller and padded, keeps them warm. You can get carseats to clip in and a diaper bag that attaches.

Most of all, both seats recline so both babies can nap anywhere! They go for $699 but we got ours for $379 and it is so worth the extra money. If you want to view them go to pegperego.com and then email the ebay guy, he is awesome and will hook you up!

Yeah, it can be pretty overwhelming. I got so much good advice from these boards, though! Let me see if I can think of what gear I've loved having.

    * Graco Duoglider: It is huge, but it's awesome. I got the nicer model & for me, it was totally worth it. I can snap both carseats in and have lots of room underneath, which is wonderful when I'm shopping someplace like the mall where there aren't shopping carts.

    * Bouncy seat: Somebody gave me 2 of these at the shower & they were so great! I don't think we used them at first, maybe around the 2nd month? I can't remember. But we had the ones that have the Ocean Wonders attachment & they just loved sitting in there & watching the bubbles & music. For a long time, we would have it in the bedroom at night just for the relaxing sound of it to help us all sleep.

    * As far as bassinet/crib sleeping: I bought 2 cribs, but didn't start using them till around 4 months old. I had planned on using the bassinet attachment in the pack & play and just having it by our bed at night. The first time we tried it, they didn't go for it AT ALL. We think it was too much open space. Newborns like feeling confined, like when they were in the womb. My sister let me borrow a regular bassinet, which was smaller. We swaddled them & put them both in the bassient & they loved it.

    * Pack & Play: I don't use this as much as I thought I would. But, I think when summer comes around we'll get more use out of it. It has come in very handy, though, if we're visiting someone. Johnny is a roller when he sleeps & I can't put him on a bed; he'd roll right off.

    * Swings: We were given a couple of these, and they are wonderful! I still use them & the babies are almost 8 mos old. I don't usually use them 2 at a time, though. I think 1 would be ok.

I'm sure that's more than you were asking about. [IMG] Congratulations on your babies; can't wait to see pictures when they get here!

We loved the snap-n-go! It is easy to get in and out of the car and with the infant seats still weigh a lot less than the Duoglider. Having had a c-section for Baby B and incision complications, I still could lift the snap-n-go without any trouble. I really miss it! It made getting out and about so easy. We use a Combi Twin Savvy side-by side stroller now and also love it. It is about the size of a golf bag when folded up and fits in a car trunk easily. I had a Peg Perego Duette and it is a beautiful stroller but is huge! We got it from another twin mom when the girls were almost out of their infant seats. As a pp said, you can adjust the seats in any direction and the storage is pretty good. But, it was too big for either of our cars and took almost the whole back storage area of our minivan. It wasn't practical for us, so I passed it on. A co-worker is having B/G twins and she registered for the Duoglider for later but really liked how easy my Snap-n-Go was so she has gotten that for the first several months-Katelyn got too tall for our infant seats around 8 months. If you do get a Snap-n-Go, order it early. Mine was in stock when I ordered it but somehow became back-ordered and took several weeks to arrive.

    Other items:

We had and needed two bouncy seats. They were great for early feeding as well as entertaining.

We had both cribs ready to go in the nursery but started with a borrowed co-sleeper in our room. They were in their cribs at 2 months-Jessica started sleeping through then and I would still bring Katelyn into our room when she woke up.

We also used two swings-some nights it was the only thing that would calm them.

Agree completely with previous post. The snap-n-go was a lifesaver. So convenient for first 6 months. We are switching to a regular double stroller in a month because they're sitting up on their own better now. Snap-n-go made shopping trips easy, easy, easy!

I would be lost without my double snap-n-go. I am going to be so sad when they are out of their car seats and I can't use it anymore. Best itme that I put on our registry. I also have the duoglider, but I have only used it once since the snap-n-go is so much easier. We also have a jogging stroller, but I can't really comment on it because we have not used it. We got it at our local twin gargae sale for $50.00. I was thinking of getting a light-weight side-by-side stroller but I have a feeling that it would be kind of a pain to get through stores since it will be so wide. So what I did was but two cheap ($20) umbrella strollers and a $10 thing that you can use to snap them together. This way we have the umbrella strollers for taking just one child out (while my husband has the other at home or is out with me and we don't want the double stroller) and a side-by-side stroller for only $50.

Our girls slept in a pack-n-play next to our bed till they were 3 months (I was planning on having them in their room but this was much easier). The day after their 3 month b-day they moved into a shared crib in their own room and it has been wonderful! We have not bought a 2nd crib yet but we really need to!

We also have the infant seat that turns into a toddler rocker. I use them for the girls to hang out in, nap during the day and I also feed them in those chairs.

The final thing that has saved our lives is the miracle blanket. I really think that they are the reason that the grils started sleeping through the night at 3 months.
