i was going to get the City Mini or the Bumbleride Indie Twin for my boys.
They are 5 weeks old and we currently only use the snap and go. i want to start going for walks/jogs outside and was told that they were too small for these strollers.

i thought they were infant - toddler?

    any thoughts?

I kept mine in their infant car seats snapped into their stroller until about 5 months old before putting them in the 'regular' stroller seats - I was too nervous about them being well supported.

Hmmm, I am not sure. My stroller (graco quattro duo) held both car seats & that was what I used for walks/store etc until they were big enough to fit comfortably in our side by side stroller (combi twin).
Is the snap n go not handy for walks? I never had the snap n go (wanted it though!!)

I use my snap and go ALL the time for everything, shopping, walking, jogging and anything else we go out and do. I'm too nervous to put them in the stroller we have.

we have the citi mini, and I think started putting the twins in it around 8 weeks for walks outside. we LOVE it by the way... the citi mini works for infants because you can lay the backs down further than most strollers (so they are close to laying flat and you don't have to worry about head control/support). note that although the brand is baby jogger, the citi mini is not a jogging stroller. it does have larger, rubber wheels though, and is super easy to maneuver with one hand (i'm able to walk my 90lb dogs on walks too!!). we do still use the snap and go for places we go via the car, as it is easier, but for our daily walks, the citi mini has been great.

also wanted to add... we also have the BOB for a jogging stroller... I don't think you are supposed to jog with babies until they do have head control, so we've been going jogging for about a month now....

You can go for walks with the SNG pretty much anywhere you'd go with those, except maybe bumpy dirt or gravel paths. You can't jog with it, but you're not supposed to jog with babies (with any stroller) until they're at least 5 months old or so, have good head control, and can sit upright with support.

You can put very young babies in most umbrella strollers (we started using our Maclaren Twin Traveller at about 5 weeks), but unless the seats lie flat, the babies will slump down and may not be comfortable. Since you already have the SNG, I think your best bet is to keep using it until 4-5 months and then invest in a good walking/jogging stroller for the next several years.

We had the indie twin for a short while and the seats do recline back far enough so that you can put young babies in it...I think a lot of moms are just too nervous to do so.
Although I dont think you are supposed to jog with babies until they have decent head control, but walks are fine.

I used my Phil & teds vibe from 2 months in regular toddler mode. They were showing excellent head control and the stroller reclines a lot and is very cushioned. They loved it and all was fine

I never even had a sng

I have the bumbleride and i bought it when my girls were less then a week old.. it is great.. i love it.. it is not a car stroller.. but its great for everything else.. you can totally use it when they are that small... i bought the carry cots with them but you don;t need them, but if you can afford them they are great:)

Hey...I have the Mountain Buggy. They seats do fully recline, and inside I put this thing that supports their head and body while they lay in. They love to sleep in the stroller on our walks. I have been using it with them every day since they turned 1 week old. I love that I don't need my car seat to attach to it since they love laying down in the stroller. It seems more comfortable for them. The seat can also sit up for when they are older and can be used till they are about 4. GL with choosing a stroller!
