okay...our twins just turned one and we got the shock of our lives to find out that I'm now pregnant. (one time, unprotected, after using fertility treatments to conceive our other three...anyway...that is another story ;) ) When new baby comes the twins will be 21 months old approximately. Did anyone else have them this close and what did you do for a stroller. I am an "on the go" kind of mom and need to still be able to get around with all these crazy kiddos. Thanks!

Well, baby #3 is not here yet...But the boys will be 20 months old when the baby comes. I've figured I am not going to go and buy a triplet stroller because the boys I do not think will be in a stroller for too long after(at least not long enough to spend the $ on a triplet stroller). We have the Graco DuoGlider. I will most likey have the twins in there, and wear a sling for the baby, or something of that sort-when I am alone. When dh is home, we have two single strollers we can use for the boys, and I can still have the DuoGlider. I have no idea how this will work out, but I hope it works out for me! Good luck!

I have a Graco Duo Glider. I put the baby in there in her carseat, one twin in the other seat, and the other twin actually sat up by the handle bars with me where i push!! Works great for us. If I had the $$$, I would have got the triple, but I don't. This gets us from point A to point B. Granted, I can't let go of the stroller, but I really just use the stroller from getting from point A to point B so it hasn't been an issue. I don't do shopping with all three that involves me having to browse through racks of clothes, etc. Just food shopping and I don't need a stroller for that (our store as carts that can actually first up to 4!!!). I'm also a BIG fan of just snapping the baby seat in rather than taking her in and out, so this also works great for that situation.

We were given a Peg Perego triple and we bought a Baby Jogger triple used when Liam came along. The twins were 23 months old when he was born. We still use the triple jogger for all three of them. I also went on Craig's list and found a Sit N Stand. I would put Liam in the front and the twins were small enough that they both fit on the back, whether they were sitting or standing.

Congratulations! My boys were one day shy of 21 months old when baby arrived (a big surprise from Yaz for us). It was hard for me to fathom the stroller situation because my boys were walking when I found out I was pregnant but by 14.5 and 14.75 months they were, and, now at 2, they are figuring out that they like to walk and don't want to be in the stroller.

When DH and I are together we either:
    1. use the double stroller with the boys and use a single with baby or
    2. use stroller with baby and let the boys walk holding the stroller or someone's hand

When by myself, I generally wear baby and put the boys in their stroller or in the buggy at the store.

My twins will be 27-28 months when the baby comes. I am planning to get my hands on a used, tandem, triple stroller for places like the mall, etc. I know I will not use it on a daily basis but there are just certain places where I will need them all contained. (Our children's museum is inside the mall, and we go there often)

I will probably also get a sling or whatever, but being that it will be so stinking hot here when the baby comes, I'm not sure how long that will lasts, plus I think it will really hurt my back.

I hear you on the "hot" issue! I have a ella roo mei tai and it's fabulous. The baby bjorns hurt my back (the weight dispersement is weird for my frame so it hurt my back big time), my mei tai doesn't. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Thanks ladies for all of the responses...this helps me wrap my head around this whole idea. We go tomorrow for an ultrasound...keeping fingers crossed it is just one little kiddo in there. ;)

Our baby isn't here yet but will be soon. We got the Valco Twin Trimode stroller with toddler seat, used on Craigslist. It is actually a big double jogging stroller, with an extra seat that attaches in front of the stroller. Here is a link:

I have to say it is HUGE compared to our nice light McLaren Twin Triumph. Our nanny has used it with our boys and her 2 1/2 year old toddler and said it works well. We'll see how we fare with a baby and two toddlers. We also plan to use the McLaren, and carry the new baby in the Moby, Bjorn or Ergo, all of which we have.
