Personally for me I waited until my girls could sit up unassisted. I have the Graco Duoglider and only the rear seat reclined all the way back for infants.

I did it a few times when they were that young, but most of the time I just kept them in their carseats and popped them in the stroller just because it was easier. It's fine to do it though, just make sure their straps are secure!

I waited until they could sit up, about 5-6 months.

4 months for me. I didn't feel comfortable until they could sit up pretty well. Also the straps were pretty loose before that and I was afraid they'd slip.

We put them in the Maclaren Twin Traveller at 5 weeks. The straps basically came up against the sides of their heads, they were so short -- but we had the "boots" on too, and those covered their whole bodies, so we figured they couldn't really slide out. :) It didn't look all that comfy, I admit, but they didn't seem to mind and usually went right to sleep.

I had them in the ARIA without carseats at 4 weeks - but they were completely wrapped up in blankets and couldn't wiggle their way out.

Your post made me think and we didn't put ours in a regular stroller until 8 1/2 months when they were done with the Snap-n-Go and we moved on to the DuoGlider.

We put mine in our ARIA right around the same age as yours. The seats were fully reclined back and wrapped in blankets. I never did buy a DUO Glider or Snap & Go, don't know why?? I guess I just went with what we could use the longest.

I have already put one of my twins in my single Peg Perego stroller (when I don't feel like dealing with the double stroller) and then carry one of them in the Bjorn. I recline the seat so he's laying (asleep) and he's completely strapped in, so it's worked out fine.
