Hi everyone!! I'm about 27 weeks with G/G twins. I've been going crazy  thinking about double strollers!!!!

I had my mind set upon the double snap and go. And then maybe in a couple months when the girls grow out of it then I'll buy a double stroller.

I also have a soon to be 3 yr old. I had a idea of buying a double stroller. Having 1 of the babies in the stroller my toddler too. If she needs to. and I'll use a sling with the other baby.

I been doing some research and found out that some double strollers DONT come with a carseat!!! Also, mostly all double stroller require only 1 carseat!!!! Am I just not looking at the right place?????. Please HELP!!!!

Have any of you bought doouble strollers that include carseats??? and If so, where??

    Thank you everyone!!!!!!!

I bought the double snap n go. They will be in infant seats for at least the first 9 months of age. It is much more lightweight and easier to use. I have a four yr old and he is too big for a stroller now and walks when we go to places like the mall. I will be using the DSNG daily when I take my son to pre-k and the babies will come with.

I have only seen single strollers come with a car seat, referred to as travel system. I haven't seen a double that comes with a car seat. We had to purchase our car seats separately and the DSNG last Saturday. Babies R Us gives a 10% discount for each car seat when you buy two. Plus I loaded up on the coupons. We saved $76. Almost the cost of a car seat :)

I used the Graco duo double deluxe when my girls were born up until they were about 7 months old.
Then I switched to a side-by-side stroller since they didn't need to be in their infant seats.
I loved my Graco front back stroller though! It worked GREAT for us :good:

i got a graco front /back stroller , that does take 2 car seats but had to buy them seperate, i also went with graco because you can put a boogie board behind it for your 3yr old to stand on. and still have room to push the stroller

i was looking at the joovy cabose, 2 seat (took any 2 car seats) plus a sit /stand for todlers
but it didnt fit in my transport mini van

First I understand your craziness with strollers, I felt exactly the same way! We registered for the Graco Safe Seat car seat...it says for babies up to 30 lbs. We got the Baby Trend Double Snap and Go. We think we can get away with this combo for about a year and then will buy a different double stroller. We also have the 2 other car seats on the registery for when they outgrow the Gracos...can't remember what they are right now, but they will be over a year before they need them. Honestly we put them on because if no one gets the bigger car seats for us we plan on using the completion deal to buy those!

We had the Graco Duoglider and two Graco Infant Carseats. The Duoglider did not come with the carseats, we bought them separately, but they fit in the two seating positions of the stroller. You can buy the Duoglider with one seat and then buy another seat separately but we found it cheaper to buy both seats separately.

I have had quite a few strollers since that time but the Duoglider was the most versatile and was our go-to stroller until the twins were about 3.5 years old.

I have the Graco duoglider but I almost exclusively use the Snap -N- Go. It is so lightweight and easy, not to mention the only one that fits in my teeny tiny trunk (trying to sell to get a van). I didn't find any double travel systems when I was looking - we have the Graco carseats too, and four bases, two for each of our cars.

    Hey you!
    How are you?

As far as strollers, yeah doubles dont come with them.
I bought the Baby Trend Flex Locs at BRU for about 100.00 ea and used a 20 % off coupon they had given out (they probably have more coupons coming) so each one ended up being about 85.00. They are good seats and also the most narrow since I have to fit 3 seats in my altima.

I bought a double snap n go off Craigslist for 50.00 to use for the first 4 montsh or so. I am not too much into leaving babies in carseats though, so I also plan to use my single Bumbleride flyer stroller I bought last year and carry one baby in a sling.

Since you have Kaylie you could do a double and carry a baby in a sling-I would suggest the Peg Perego Twin Aria or a Combi side by side.
You can get them off CL but new are about 250-300 I think. But they will last a long time of course-

Anyway hope u are doing well! Take care.

We registered at Babies R Us for a Graco Quattro Duo - I am not sure if that is the same as the duoglider - it seemed great in the store. We did have to buy the car seats separate and they both fit, but it is nice having the stroller in tact for times we don't want to use the car seats (when they are a little older). We have no experience but it has been recommended by a few area twins moms. It is $230 - I think the double snap n go frame is only around $100 but it is just a fram. I was mixed because I heard the snap n go is nice, but we really wanted to be able to use the stroller as just the stroller or with the car seats, without having to buy another stroller in a year or whatever. Anyway, this question has been a source of stress for us also because it is just hard to know what to do. I think the cost of all the equipment really takes you by surprise - I know we are still working through it all and hoping some family members might want to go together on something big! Good luck. :)

oh, sorry, I wanted to add that Craigslist has been a huge savings for us! Most of our big items we have purchased used. I know in my area the snap n go frame shows up quite often so I would recommend that resource for saving money.

I just bought a Quattro Duo from here cheap!

I couldn't pass on the price with free shipping.

We are also planning on the double snap and go for the first while. I suggest taking a good look at the bigger graco doubles, they are HUGE when folded up. For us, space is an issue, so the snap n go is better because it's smaller and we're going to have the infant seats anyways.

Once they are big enough to sit we'll buy a side by side, probably the combi one, because it's a tri fold and folds up fairly compactly, again space is an issue for us! :)

Another couple of pieces of information for your search:

    - If you go with a side-by-side, make sure it lays flat. The babies shouldn't be in anything that doesn't lay flat until they can sit up by themselves. Depending on the brand of infant carseat you get, this is likely to be after they're too big for the carseats.

    - Unless your babies are small or you buy a carseat that has a high height limit (like the Graco Safeseat), the babies are most likely not going to make it to 1 year old in their infant carseats. Based on my experience in the First Year forum, I'd say most twins grow out of their infant carseats by about 7 months old. They also usually grow out of their carseats due to reaching the height limit, not due to the weight limit. This may make a difference in whether you want a Snap n Go since you really wouldn't be able to use it for long.

    - I'm about 5'3 and I had no trouble lifting my double stroller in and out of my car multiple times a day. You do it a few times and you get used to it. I actually had more trouble with the sbs because it folded different and was more difficult hoist. In case of tight space, you can remove the front snack tray and sunshade from most tandem strollers quickly and easily. I did that if my trunk was getting full.

    - My 3 year olds didn't have quite enough self-control to leave the baby alone and I couldn't trust them to always do everything safely (even though they really tried :)) so that is something you might want to consider when buying a stroller. I wouldn't have wanted to put one of my girls in a sbs next to the baby. She'd be likely to accidentally drop something on it or have another problem. The same went for when I had both twins in a sbs. They bugged each other way too much. In a tandem, I only had to keep the kid in back from bugging the kid in front.

    Good luck!

Yeah, most experts don't recommend strolling baby in the car seat....especially premies because of breathing problems. I think it also has something to do with freedom of movement. They want the baby to be able to move around a bit more (stretching arms and legs etc) than they can strapped in a car seat.
I mean, for a quick trip in and out popping the car seat in and out might be worth the convenience safety tradeoff, but if you think your kiddos will spend a lot of time in the stroller you might want to give it some more thought or do some research.

Another stroller that might be an option for you is the Kolcraft Contours tandem. You can have 2 infant seats in it, or the seats fully recline. Plus you can have them face you or face out. It is a back to back.

If you think your 3 yr old will need to ride you may want to consider a stroller that can take a kiddie board on the back, or one that takes a toddler seat like an ABC or Valco Trimode.

While I know my twins will probably be smaller than my singleton, I know my son was out of his infant seat before 6 months. (He outgrew it by height not weight.) But he was already so heavy that lifting and carrying his seat around wasn't practical / convenient at all.
