I know many of you have posted about strollers here before... it's my turn today! I have only one stroller, the Graco Duoglider. It works fine for us even now that the girls are out of their infant seats. We use it mostly for trips the grocery store, Target, the park, etc.

We'd like to get a jog stroller because my husband is looking forward to taking the girls when he runs. I've never seen a double jog stroller in person, so I'm not sure whether I could I use the jog stroller for shopping and trips to the park? What advice do you all have? Is there a reason to give up my Graco DuoGlider? Do I need a side-by-side?

    Thanks!

My two cents---> I wouldn't recommend using a double jogger for shopping. They are GREAT for walks, jogs, trips where you won't be on smooth pavement- like the park, etc... but shopping... YIKES. For one, it'd be a pain to get it in and out of the car, and they're just so massive, that shopping wouldn't be very easy. Is there a reason you'd have to give up the duoglider to get the jogger? I think having both would be ideal. Good luck, I'm afraid there is no such thing as the "perfect" double stroller!

I have the duo glider as well I use it every time I shop exspecialy when Im alone. I find it easer to go down the isles. I have a Jeep side by side that I take if my husband is with me(then he can push a cart) I also use it to walk with but I dont run. If DH wants to run a jogging stroller is the best idea. But I wouldn't use it for shopping. Trips to the park it would be good for though. Check and see how big they are folded For putting in your trunk that always ends up being the issue for us. Good luck!

I have a Bob Revolution Duallie Jogger for my girls. It is the best and my favorite stroller to use. I use it from walking around with them to the store and mall. Yes it is heavy but I don't feel it is any worse than our Duoglider. I stopped using our Duoglider a long time ago and I also have a Combi Twin Savvy side by side stroller. Between the jogger and SBS I prefer to take the jogger out most of the time. I take them to the supermarket in it all the time and hang the hand basket on the handle and do a small shopping. I also take it to the mall when I just have a few things to do and don't need to get into any tight spaces. I also really like the the front wheel can be locked to track straight for jogging or set to swivel for walking.

I got my stroller online, here is the website: JoggingStroller.com - Bob Revolution Duallie

I invested in a double jogger when my girls were about one. I kept my Duoglider for shopping, etc. But I used my jogger for walks and it stays in the garage. It would not be a good errand stroller, but it is great for walking in our neighborhood, the park, beach, zoo, etc.

I do not jog with it, so if your DH is going to he may need a heavier duty one than I have. I bought the Instep Safari double jogger at Walmart and it fits our needs great.

Now very recently, I did get rid of my Duoglider and bought a SBS lighter weight stroller for errands. Mainly because one of my DD's was constantly climbing out of the Duoglider and I needed a 5 point harness.

I also had the Instep Safari TT. I did jog with it during my stroller fitness class and then we used it for walks. I actually originally got it for my grandma because she took the girls for walks and it was so much easier to control over the sidewalks than the Duoglider was.

I still used my Duoglider for basically everything else until the girls were just over 3. The Duoglider could go anywhere but there was the occasional door that I had trouble getting the jogger through.

We had the double snap and go for the infant seats which was great and then we got the Bob Duallie Revolution Jogging Stroller and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it so easy to push and I am not a jogger by any means, but just liked the look of it and the option of being able to go in dirt and or pavement so easily.

    So Worth the money!

I also looked at the Phil and Teds but the Bob holds more weight and has the side to side seating rather than the front to back which I preferred.

We just ordered a Combi side-by-side umbrella for taking them places since the jogging stroller (which I love for walks and runs) is too big of a pain to fold up and put in the car.

We are getting rid of our DuoGlider. It's just so heavy and clunky and our car is SO small; it takes up the entire cargo area leaving our dog about one square foot to sit in.

Part of me wants to hang on to the DuoGlider a little bit longer, but 3 double strollers in our living room is really pushing it!
