I posted this over in the expecting twins forum, but thought I better post it over here as well, as you ladies are the experts!

Okay, the more I research double strollers, the more confused I get. These are my first two (and likely my last thanks to infertility) babies, so I have no clue when it comes to baby gear. I want to get a double stroller that I can click both car seats into, will last us a long time, is somewhat lightweight, and has some storage underneath. I have narrowed it down between the Graco DuoGlider and Combi Tandem (front-back model).

Any advice? From what I have read online and tested in the store, the DuoGlider is much bigger and more spacious, but heavy as heck, whereas the Combi is lighter but does not have as much storage. Also, I drive a Toyota Corrolla, so ease of getting into my tiny car is a biggie as well.

Also, any advice on the Graco vs. Combi infant carseats. Depending on which stroller we get, we will get the matching carseats.

    Thanks in advance!

I had the Duo Glider, but rarely used it (just sold mine). I haven't tried the tandem Combi but hate, hate, hated the SBS Twin Savvy. If storage, compact fold, and ease of use are your biggies, I say you can't go wrong with a Double Snap N Go. More than likely you'll end up with more than one stroller in your lifetime anyway, so pick the one you really want once they are out of the car seats (I recommend keeping them in there as long as possible - we made it to 1 year - to extend the life of your snap n go). I loved my SNG so much I wanted to cry at the thought of giving it up.

I would post to your local twin MOMs club (or Craigslist) to see about getting a gently used SNG. I sold mine to another twin mom and put the money towards my new stroller(s). I now have:
Graco Quattro Duo for my front-to-back needs (it's heavy, but what tandem isn't)
    Maclaren Twin Techno for SBS
Chariot Cougar 2 for outdoor adventures.

Just my two (okay, more like 25) cents. ;)

From my expierence with the Graco I would not use it again with an infant carrier.

When my boys were 9m old way under height and weight for the infant carriers we had them in the stroller for a walk. Next thing I know my baby in his infant carrier are laying on the ground. The tray (which was on correctly) fell off the stroller throwing my son to the ground inchs away from falling into the the river (we were walking on a boardwalk) The only thing holding the fron infant carrier to the stroller is the front tray which does come off rater easy. I would look for a stroller that has a tray that does not "snap" on.... Look for something more permanent or something that has a screw on front tray.

for me Grac0 stroller+ infant carrier= an almost tragic event

I also vote for the double snap-n-go. They are awesome. Check out your local twins club or craigslist. I see them all the time.

As mentioned, this same question has been posed in the Expecting forum. Since TS does not allow for duplicate threads, I am going to close this and request all responses be made in the existing thread here.

    Thanks!
