My boys have outgrown their infant car seats and it's time to let go of the snap n go. I purchased a double jogging stroller, but it's not practical for everyday use (nice for walks and outdoor use). I am in need of an everyday stroller. Ideally, I would love something not cumbersome, lighweight, and easy to maneuver. Would you go with a tandem or SBS? I want it to fit through doorways too.

What would you recommend? I am surfing the net, but thought I would ask for your input. I don't want to spend a ton of $$$ either!

Combi twin sport is going to get high recommendations around here :) It's lightweight, easy to use, fits through a single doorway. Make sure you get one with the front cupholders, very valuable for snacks! Downfalls are, no cupholders for parents (you can buy a kit to clamp on though), and small baskets (I just use a bigger diaper bag.) My combi rocks for everyday stuff. I use my jogger for longer trips and anything outdoors.

I wouldn't recommend a tandem, mostly because almost everyone I know who has one, has fighting children! The child in the back tends to kick the child in front! And I believe it, even in the combi mine like to stick their feet up on the front bar/cupholders and relax!

They run about $225 or so at babiesrus, but you can usually find a deal online for cheaper, with low/free shipping, on last year's models. I got mine for $185 free shipping online!

What Danibell said :) We first bought a Baby Jogger City Classic for our boys since it is narrow enough to fit through standard single doors and we wanted a stroller that would go smoothly on the trail as well as out shopping. But it is a tad bit heavy and cumbersome. Then I decided that we should have two strollers, one for each vehicle (so we didn't end up at Target or where ever only to realize the BJCC was in the other vehicle). Okay, I only decided we had to have a second one back in April when somebody posted a link on this stroller forum about the Combi Twin Sport being on sale for $169.99 w/ free shipping :) After I saw that I had to order it! I will say that prior to buying our Combi I was more of a Maclaren Twin Triumph fan. And honestly if you only want ONE stroller that is super sturdy and that will do it all, you may want to look into a Maclaren. My coworker has 2.5 year old twins and they have a 2 year old Maclaren Twin Triumph stroller that they still love, and I loved it too when I took it for a test drive in our parking lot. But it is a little more expensive than the Combi. But keep in mind that is because the Combi is mostly plastic, whereas the Maclaren has a lightweight (and durable) aluminum frame. Don't get me wrong, I love my Combi! But I do wonder how durable it will end up being. However, we only use it half time since we have the BJCC so hopefully it will last a few more years :D

Personally we went with a Maclaren Twin Techno as our second stroller. Yes, it's much more expensive than the combi and many other lightweights out there, but I think of it as a longer term investment and I'd rather still be able to use it in a few years when they're older rather than buying something now for less money that's mostly made of plastic and will break on me at some point. I actually ordered the Combi twin and was rather excited since the reviews seemed to be good, and when I got it, opened it up and pushed it around the house with the kids in it for a few minutes I knew immediately that I had to send it back. It wiggles around when you push on it like a cheap plastic stroller and just generally feels flimsy in my opinion, but that's probably because I've driven several Maclarens before so I was used to that sturdiness even in a lightweight stroller.

I think it depends how much you plan to use it and how long you plan to use it as well as obviously what you can or are willing to spend.

Oh and definitely go for side by side! I hear a lot of complaints that they don't fit through doors, but all SBS strollers made nowadays fit through standard sized doors. Sure, every now and then you will encounter a smaller than normal door, but it rarely happens to me and I don't think it's reason enough to go with a tandem.

afmama- It is out of stock!

I looked at the Maclaren and price wise would probably chose the triumph vs. the techno. I don't know the big difference is?

This stroller will definitely be used a lot so I thank you for the input. Now, I just need to decide :)
