I'm expecting twins in July, and my son will only be 17-18 mo old when they are born. I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for a good triple stroller that has seats for the twins and a sit & stand option for my older toddler? If I don't have something to contain all 3 of them, I just don't know how I'll get out of the house for the zoo, walks, etc...

Any advice is appreciated and welcome!!

Right now one of the twins balances like MWS but I'm looking to get a triple as well. For a while I was going to get the Joovy Double sit stand but it's a lot of money and the reviews are terrible. I think for walks and such I'm going to just get the baby trend triple

the mountain buggy stroller makes a side by side triple that might be good for you. i know someone with triplets who has this. it fits through doorways i believe and is great for long distance walking. the joovy is a good option if your toddler is good with walking alot and if you don't intend on needing the 18 month old to nap in the stroller. another alternative is the valco baby tri mode twin + toddler seat. it's a real seat that attaches to the front of the stroller. i don't anyone that has the toddler seat but the stroller itself is loved especially since it maneuvers so well (much like the mountain buggy). you can also do a double stroller and get a kiddy board (standing only) that would attach to the back of the stroller.

www.mountainbuggyusa.com - kiddy boards fit on the twin version of these strollers as well

http://www.dmart2000.com/kidboarfresh.html - i'm sure there are better prices and possibly other brands but i wanted to show you what i was talking about. if you go this route, make sure that what you get is made for the stroller you have.

Women on the other forums always love their Valco with toddler jump seat. Another idea would be to use a double stroller and then a baby carrier. The Ergo is a great carrier that is very comfortable so you could carry one baby and then put the other baby and the toddler in the stroller. If I had twins again, this is what I would do.

i've heard though that if you use the ergo too much you can cause the baby to get bowlegged so definitely look into that. also, you will need an infant insert for it.

I had the Joovy Caboose for the first 6 months. It was great b/c I could put the car seats in and be on my way. I think it would work great for an 18 month old.BUT it is huge and very difficult to steer. I now have the Kolcraft Tandem Options (or something like that) and really like it. With it you could carry one baby in a bjorn (which I found one preferred) and your toddler could go in one of the seats. It also comes with a universal car seat hook-up. Also, there are handles on the side that a child can hold on to. My nearly 3 year old loves holding on to them. Good luck! I found that a 3 seat wasn't great for us b/c Aidan didn't want to sit so half the time we didn't use the seat anyway (plus he was too tall) on the Joovy.

My son was 21 months when the twins were born, and it's hard to go places with all three! We have a duoglider, and I do one of the following:

    1. put one baby in the baby bjorn/carrier and the other two in the stroller, toddler in front.

    2. put both babies in their infant carriers in the duoglider, and put the toddler in a harness (this is taking some work)

    3. take a second person.

    good luck.

That is actually incorrect. The position of the ergo (as opposed to the front facing Bjorn) is the natural placement of the legs to prevent hip dysplasia and aids spinal development.
