Yes, I posted about this months ago and would you believe still have not made a decision. I am hopeless I tell you.

Anyway - perhaps you all can help me. We are travelling to the UK in three weeks so I need urgent help. We had brought two singles in the meantime which is great when we are just putting around town but for travel we decided we need a new double for travelling as one may have to go off the with babies while one deals with other situations.

So the short list so far is :

Zooper Tango - love the way this looks, the reviews are good. Downsides are it weighs 28lbs, it only holds 40lbs of weight for each child and my son is already 34lbs and of course the price.

Combi twin savvy - excellent reviews, great travel ratings, carries 45lbs of weight for each child, it only weighs 19lbs and it costs less than the zooper. But I don't like the fabric patterns. :(
I know, I know that is so superficial but I can't help it. Why do they have that stupid pattern on the canopy???

I know I should get the Combi but the Zooper is just calling to me. Does anyone have this one? What are your thoughts? Knock some sense in to me. Tell me like it is...

i have the pink combi and like it for the short outings. we keep it int he van.

I love the BOB revolution dualie for walks/jogs/big outings/etc. We keep it in the garage and only fold it up if we are doing a big day long outing like at an amusement park.

sorry, i don't have experience w/ the zoopers.

Thanks for your response. I thought about the BoB as it had so many great reviews but I don't think it is ideal for travelling. (on planes). And I don't want to have to buy 2 new ones. 'esp at that price. :(

I highly recommend the Maclaren Twin Techno. It fully reclines and holds up to 110 lbs. It folds up like an umbrella stroller. I have been through a lot of strollers and this one (and my BOB) are the ones we are still using.

*wanted to add that at first I thought the seats were too shallow and I didn't like it. Then I figured out that the seat has little posts on the side to pull out to make the seat deeper. I don't believe the Mac Triumph has this, only the Techno.

I have two strollers, one is the Combi Twin Savvy EX and it is the stroller that I use when we are going shopping, to the mall, the grocery store, indoors places. It has a small footprint, is comfortable for the kids, has a nice sunshade and is light and easy to deal with. I have a BOB revolution duallie that I love for anything outdoors. I would not travel with the BOB.

My Combi doesn't have any patterns or anything on it, it is just grey and teal. Very simple and plain and worked for us for boy/girl twins. (I looked at photos and it seems the new models have that pattern, so if you google them, you can find new strollers in the older models without the pattern).

We just got the twin combi sport and I personally love it! It's light weight, comfortable for the boys, easy to push, folds down easily and has a carrying strap. It doesn't have large storage baskets and its not super easy to turn corners but i still love it and think it would be great for travelling.

Huh - I must be looking at the wrong one - the one I found says it holds up to 51.4 lbs. What year model should I be looking at?

Thanks everyone for your responses. I think there is no satisying me. I am looking for that perfect stroller and I guess it just doesn't exist. I am going to have to give on one or two of my expectations. *sigh*

I have the combi twin model. I bought it on craigslist for $60.00. I do like it, but my girls try to stand up on the foot plate and I swear almost pop out of the straps, even with the shoulder straps on. I don't know what stroller would prevent this, just thought I'd let you know about my pet peeve.

Re: the turning-the other day I noticed mine seemed harder to turn than before, and I checked the middle front wheel and it had gotten locked into the straight mode. I unlocked it and it was easy again. Just an idea.

I just bought a Twin Savvy about a month ago. I didn't like the boring pattern either, lol. But I really like the stroller. The fold is so easy, I csn steer it with one hand, and the girls LOVE riding in it.

How about the City Mini SBS stroller? I've been wanting that for a while but hubby doesn't want to spend another dime on stroller. We only have the heavy bulky DuoGlider!

I tried combi, jeep, and etc. and nothing was good about it as we test it at BRU. I hate when you have to turn corner because front wheel doesn't really make it turn unless you have those swivel wheels. My twins both weight 28 lbs and 26 lbs and it was hard to push around.

I'll have to try again and see if it still the same situation.

Here are the specs on the stroller. I have the 2005 but the current ones hold the same. Are you looking at the double stroller or the single?

I also wanted to say that I have big boys and while I loved the lighter weight strollers (PP Aria, Combi) they got very hard to push and steer as my boys got bigger. The Mac still steers and rolls perfectly.

Thanks for the link. Not to make a big deal but something is wrong on that site - lol. I just did a conversion of 15kg which it says for each seat (this is the double) and that works out to 33lbs per seat. So very odd.

Anyways - I took the plunge and got the zooper. I'll let you all know how it turns out.
