At what age did your kids stop using strollers? My DD is 3 and prefers to walk and my boys just turned 2 and I'm not sure if I should invest in another stroller?

At 2 my girls used the stroller rarely just mainly when we would be at the mall for a long time or if we were someplace that I wanted to make sure they stayed with us. By 3 we stopped using the stroller all together. My girls were pretty good listeners and new to stay near me and when we got out of the car they new not to run into the street or parking lot. So that's why I didn't use the stroller as much they stayed with me and they liked to walk.

My son was out of the stroller almost completely by 18months. He was a very good walker and rarely wandered. The girls are still in the stroller at 3 and I see us using it for a good long while. A lot of it is that one of them has mild cp affecting her ankle so she tires a lot more easily and gets sore, part of it is also just that it is so much harder to keep track of 3 of them loose in public, and both of them are very clingy and if will want to be held a lot if they are out of the stroller. With my son, picking him up was a threat and deterrent. With the girls, it's what they wanted in the first place! I do not have the patience or time to let them sit there and let them cry and throw themselves on the ground, and refuse to walk or stand if they want to be picked up. I don't think it is a battle I can win- or so far I haven't been able to wait them out at least. So- I think the stroller age depends heavily on your children's personality and how many of them you have to keep track of.

My boys are 3 1/2 and we used the stroller consistently until about 4 months ago. Now I only use it if I am alone and going somewhere that they need to be still - lab work at the doctor's office, etc. I hope to have them completely out before baby #3 comes in December.

My twins are 19 mo and in the stroller and my 4 older children used it until close to 4 years old. I love using a stroller. It's so much easier to keep track of them and also have somewhere to put stuff!

My oldest was out of the stroller as soon as he was able to walk. I did use it occassionally when I had a dr. appt. and I had to have him come with me. With the twins, one of them is fighting it already. I am sure they are going to try to be the same way. I think I will fight them though. Three boys out in public walking. Not ready for that.

My babies are still using the stroller constantly.
With my older 2 DDs they were between 3 and 4 when we stopped.
However, i can see when solo with my twins, that I will be using a stroller for a long time to come.

Wd dont' really use the stroller much now. I tend to use shopping carts if available, or we just hold hands. Or I let them run ahead. They are pretty good about holding hands to cross the streets and not getting too far ahead.

My guys are turning three. We use it occasionally. It depends on the mood of the day, if we will be gone long, or simply if I need to be able to "contain" them. This or get in and out of a place rather quickly. You may look into a sit and stand stroller. We have the one by Joovy and love it. The front seat foot "stool" is a little on the short side but they just bend their legs up. Occasionally the will both ride in back. One kneeling an the othe standing behind him. It is a nice option for us. It might be a nice option when one of the twins wants to walk and maybe your DD wants to ride. We still used a stroller quite a bitt over the summer when they turned two.

We don't use ours very often at all. We stopped using it once they were both getting better at walking. It might be handy to have for long trips. I think the more they walk, the better they get. This way they don't get tired as easily. JMHO!
